Creating a report Common problems: 1. You click continue to register, but get an alert saying your password is invalid. This is usually not a password issue, but a problem with a space in your username. If you’re going for first name -surname, take out the space between them and try again. 2. You’ve registered but when you try to log in, it doesn’t work. Make sure you’ve activated the account via the confirmation email. Then close all browser tabs which are open on the D&D site, go back to the main home page and try again. Now that your account is active and you’re logged in, you can create a report. Go to the main event page for the event you want to report on. If you’re making the report after the event has finished, it’ll be listed in “Previous Events”. Click the title of the event, and on the event page, you’ll see blue tabs saying “Add Report”. Click these, and.. add your report! You can include text, images and URL links to audio or video. You can add keywords in the “Tags” section to link your report to any others on the site that might be on similar themes. Your report won’t save until you click “Submit”, so if you want to come lback ater to finish it, simply write “This report is not finished” at the top of the text section. Common problems: You’re limited to adding 3 images from the user end of the site. If you want to add more, we can do that for you from the back-end. Just drop us a line at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to help. Editing a report You can get back in to edit any of your own reports at any time. Just go to “MyPage” and click the title of the report you want to edit. Scroll down to the bottom of the report, and you’ll see a yellow button saying “Edit report”. Click this, and go for it. Commenting on other reports You might want to share information, ask for amendments, or generally just keep the conversation going by adding a comment on someone else’s report. If you’re logged in, you’ll see the option to “Add a comment” at the bottom of every report. Just click this and fill in the text box as required. Identifying who was there Once you’re logged in, at the top of every event page, you’ll see a little button saying “I’ coming”. By clicking this on upcoming events, you can let people know you’re planning to go. You can also do this after the event, and you can add yourself as a session attendee on any report as well by clicking the little circle that says “I was there”. Downloading & sharing reports Great things can happen when reports get out to the public. At the bottom of every report, and every event page, you'll see Twitter, Facebook and other sharing buttons, allowing you to send the URL out to your networks. At the top of every report, you'll see a "Download Report" button which will give you a PDF of that report. At the top of the main event page, you'll see a "Download whole report" button, which will give you a single PDF containing every report submitted for that event.
