It seems that LLC classifications have a deeper detail to their system. I imagine that this is why many

academic libraries us LCC for their organization. Granted in this exercise we only looked for the first 3

letter topic in DDC so it wasn’t a totally equal comparison. I did not come across any obstacles with this

assignment. It was pretty straight forward. We didn’t cover the grammar or delimiter $b section for the

050 or 082 fields. I did wonder what some of the data meant. Since I have not worked much with LCC

this exercise was helpful in having some experience in working with the classifications and subject

headings.
