a Thank you ato everyone who helped to put the Show together last year …. 2018

Our apologies to anyone whose name has been left out – we value you all.

LETTER FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Welcome everybody to the 121st Summer Show. It is in fact the 126th anniversary of the founding of the Show but as we did not hold the Show during the War years it is our 121st.

The Committee has been preparing for the Show all through the year. They work very hard to make sure that there is something to entertain everybody, adults and children alike. We also take the feedback that we get after the Show very seriously and therefore try assiduously to improve the Show year on year. On the art front our theme this year is dinosaurs, which hopefully might appeal to a good many children.

We constantly update our website throughout the year, to give you more information about the event and you will find this at www.okewoodhillflowershow.co.uk.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank both the Committee and the army of volunteers for all their hard work. Without the volunteers helping with both the setting up on the Friday and the taking down duties afterwards, the Show could not take place. Thank you all.

Now that you possess this Schedule, how about entering something for the many classes that we have – you might even win! Just one word of caution – please READ THE SCHEDULE VERY CAREFULLY as, if the rules of the class have not been followed, it would be very disappointing to be disqualified after all your efforts.

Anyway, good luck if you are entering something and we all look forward to seeing you on the day. We are all praying for good weather as in the past few years.

aAccess to the Show: We have booked the WASP Bus again to ferry people to and from the car parking field. Please note that there is a drop off point near the Village Hall for those with mobility problems or small children. There is a limited amount of Blue Badge disabled parking next to the Showground.

a Thank you ato everyone who helped to put the Show together last year ….
