Dear Classmates, Come back home to Cornell! Join us in Ithaca, June 6–9, for our 45th Reunion! Whether it’s your first trip back to campus or a regular visit, we promise a fun-filled weekend of reminiscing, reconnecting, and celebrating! Great class events have been planned, with lots of free time to enjoy the myriad university offerings or to just relax and enjoy the Hill. We are headquartered in the air-conditioned Carl Becker House on West Campus. And we have planned the following meals and events: • Enjoy a Thursday evening Pizza and Salad party at Class HQ while fellow classmates check in. • Class of 1974 Town Hall with a special guest on Friday morning. • Friday lunch is not a planned class event, but many folks will head to Ithaca Beer Co. or may stop there on their way to campus. • A very enjoyable evening is planned at the very cool Duffield Hall, with cocktails and delicious food. • Fun continues Friday night at HQ and our VPs of Fun never disappoint. • Class lunch and photo are happening Saturday afternoon on the Ag Quad. • Celebrate Reunion weekend at a reception, dinner, and slide show at Barton Hall Saturday night. • Brunch on Sunday at HQ is the time to say goodbyes and make plans for our 50th. Take a good look at the registration booklet and go online to register at alumni.cornell.edu/come-back/ reunion. Book by May 10 to take advantage of early-bird pricing. You can also get information on our class website cornell74.org or on our Class of 1974 Facebook page. And, of course, you can reach out to our Reunion Chairs. 2. HOUSING AT OUR CAMPUS HEADQUARTERSCarl Becker House

Housing FAQsWhat’s included in the room fee?The university provides bath towels, bed linens, and a daily towel exchange. You’ll want to bring your own hair dryer and iron.

When is check in/check out?Check-in begins Thursday at noon and all classmates must check out by noon Sunday.

Can I smoke in the residence halls or bring my pet?No, you may not smoke, and only service animals are welcome.

Can I get a room near my friends? The Class of ‘74 will be at Carl Becker House. Because undergraduate residences are designed for single students, only twin-size beds are available. A single room has one twin bed, and a double room has two twin beds. The dorm is comprised of mostly singles, with a limited amount of double rooms. If you have special housing needs or if you wish to room near or with a specific party or parties, please note this when completing the housing section of your Reunion registration. The person you request on your housing registration must also request you. We will try our best to accommodate all requests for housing. We will give priority to those members of the Class of ‘74 in your group who are staying for a minimum of two nights in our dorms. This will be done on a first come, first served basis. Please note that only members of your group who register by May 10th can be considered for pre-assigned rooms.

I have special medical or mobility needs—is it practical for me to stay in the residence halls?Yes! To communicate specific medical or mobility needs, please contact your registration chair by May 24.

Does our class have a block of rooms at a hotel?Prefer to stay in a local hotel room? A limited number of rooms has been blocked for Alumni returning to Ithaca. Review hotel information on the Cornell Reunion website, and call your favorite hotel directly for a reservation on a first-come, first served basis.

3. REUNION WITH THE FAMILY/CHILDRENWe’ve got an exciting range of class and university activities planned for everyone, including future Cornellians! Bring your family and introduce them to your alma mater. See the reunion website for more information.

4. MAKE A GIFT IN HONOR OF OUR 45TH REUNION CAMPAIGNOur goal is to have every classmate make a gift to Cornell as part of our Reunion campaign. You can make your gift by visiting giving.cornell.edu/give or by calling 1-800-279-3099.
