We are sure your Prestige Kettle will add a touch of class and convenience to your kitchen! Your Prestige Kettle comes with a One year warranty. Please ensure that you post / mail your Customer Response Card within 7 days from the date of purchase to enable us to register your product. Please read the instructions in the manual carefully, before use. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, the following basic safety precautions should always be followed: 1. Read all instructions. 2. Before using the kettle, please check that the voltage power corresponds to the one shown on the appliance’s specification sticker. 3. This kettle can be used only with the attached power base. You must not use it with any other sets. 4. Unplug from the outlet when not in use, while pouring water and before cleaning. Allow to cool before cleaning the appliance. 5. Switch ON the mains supply only after placing the kettle on the power base. 6. Do not let the power cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surface. 7. Place the appliance on a flat surface. Do not place on any wet/hot surface or near a gas stove or electric stove. 8. Ensure that the kettle is used on a firm and flat surface where the children can’t touch. 9. After boiling, please do not touch the steam from spout; do not open the cover in a hurry to avoid getting burnt by steam. 10. Close supervision is necessary when any electrical appliance is used by or near children. 11. Do not touch hot surface. Use handle or switch only. 12. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions. Handover the appliance to the nearest Prestige Regional Service Centre / Prestige Authorized Service Centre for examination, repair or adjustment. 13. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Prestige Regional Service Centres / Prestige Authorised Service Centres. 14. Do not use the appliance outdoors. 15. Do not use the appliance for uses other than the intended use. 16. If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may spill out. 17. Do not leave any leftover water in the kettle after completion of the boiling process. 18. Please do not switch on when there is no water in the kettle. This might damage the heating plate. While using, if you find that the water level is low or that the kettle is drying, unplug the kettle immediately and allow it to cool for at least 15 minutes. The models PKPRWC 1.0, PKPWC 1.0, PKPPC 1.0 and PKPWC 1.7 are provided with 360 degrees swivel base that helps you to locate the kettle onto the base easily. 5. For model PKPW 1.0 and PKPW 1.7, Press down the switch, provided below the handle, to “I” position and the lamp will be illuminated. Water will now begin to heat up. For models PKPRWC 1.0, PKPWC 1.7, PKPWC 1.0, PKPW 0.6 and PKPPC 1.0, the switch is placed on the handle. Switch on this button and the water will begin to heat. Do not open the lid while the water is boiling. 6. The model PKPRWC 1.0 kettle has been provided with a steam vent to regulate the steam flow. 7. Power will be cut off automatically and switch will be back to “0” position once water has been boiled. The lamp will switch off. 8. The boiling process can be terminated at any time by operating the switch to “0” position or switching off the mains. 9. In Model PKPWRC 1.0: Press the pour lever to pour water from the kettle. Caution: Never operate the appliance empty. In the event of this case occurring, the thermal cut-off inside the kettle would operate to cut off power automatically. Unplug the appliance and let it completely cool down. The filter must be in place during operation; otherwise water spillage may occur. The filled water level must be between the Max and Min level as indicated on the housing. Cleaning & Maintenance1. Remove the plug from wall outlet and let the

appliance completely cool down before cleaning.2. Do not immerse power cord, kettle and power base

in water.3. In order to maintain the polish of the outer surface,

do not use abrasive cleaner to wipe the housing.4. Periodical descaling is needed. The interval of

descaling depends on the hardness of water in your living area and the frequency of usage of your kettle.

5. Do not attempt to repair the kettle or power base. For any problem, contact the authorized service facility only for help.

10) This Warranty shall not in any case extend towards payment or any monetary consideration whatsoever, and shall be only limited to the product replacement.

11) Electrical parts are not covered under the warranty terms as they are subject to wear and tear. Replacement of these parts is chargeable.

12) Electrical appliances, wire points need regular check up by an authorised service person.

13) Electrical appliances are prone to voltage fluctuation risks, therefore precaution should be taken before use. Company shall not be responsible for any damage to electrical parts, arising out of this problem.

14) For repairs after the expiry of the warranty period, the authorised service centre will levy a charge (based on the MRP) for the component replaced.

15) The decision of the company is final in all cases of complaints.

16) Any complaints/disputes shall be within the jurisdiction of the Courts of Bangalore.

TERMS OF WARRANTYPrestige {hereinafter referred to as the Company} warrants to the purchaser of “Prestige Electric Kettle”, {hereinafter referred to as Kettle} that the said Kettle is free from all defects in material and workmanship. This warranty is valid for a period of one year (1 year) from the date of original purchase, subject to the following terms and conditions:-

1) The warranty card is to be completed, signed by the dealer immediately on purchase.

2) The Kettle is only to be serviced by the Company Regional Service Centre or by its Authorised Service Centre (addresses listed in this manual).

3) The customer shall carry the Kettle to the nearest Company Regional Service Centre/Authorised Service Centre at his/her own cost and risk.

4) The Company shall make all endeavours/attempts to carry out the Service/Replacement under this Warranty at the earliest, but shall not be liable to do so within any specified time.

5) The Warranty will continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the original Warranty, in regard to the Repair/Replacement of parts of the Prestige Kettle.

6) The Kettle shall be used strictly for domestic purposes in accordance with the user’s manual.

7) The Company shall not be held liable for any accident, loss or damage (direct or indirect) to person or property caused by reason of:

a) Repairs/Service attended by unauthorised service person.

b) Over-loading / Misuse / abuse or / and negligence on the part of the person.

c) Defects caused by improper/reckless use. d) Use of spurious spares/old, non-genuine spares. e) Failure to comply with any safety precaution or

maintenance tip suggested by the Company. f) Original serial number is deleted/defaced or altered.8) The Company shall not be responsible for any special

consequential damages or loss arising directly or indirectly for any delay in the performance of this Warranty.

9) The Company reserves the right to retain any part or component at the Regional Service Centre / branches or Authorised Service Centre or at its workshop and shall
