dear fobisia games participants, colleagues and …...dear athletes, throughout each of the sports...
TRANSCRIPT
O n behalf of everyone at Regents
International School Pattaya it is my
great pleasure to warmly welcome
you all to the 2015 U13 FOBISIA Games.
During the coming days I hope that you
enjoy competing with other talented athletes
from across our region of the globe and
enjoy the spirit of sporting friendship which
characterises such a special event. I am sure
that you will also enjoy the surroundings,
sunshine and facilities in which we all hope
you will excel.
Let’s hope some new records are set, new
friendships are made and the Games prove to
be as memorable as ever. You have done well
to qualify and represent your school.
Give your best and regardless of your result
I hope you have a fantastic experience and
thank you for your contribution.
Give a big cheer for your teachers and PE
Department whose encouragement and
dedication have spurred you to attend.
Our parents and staff, the PE Department
especially, have given generously of their time
to organise this event and we all appreciate
their fine efforts.
WELCOME FROM THE PRINCIPAL
MR. IAIN BLAIKIE PRINCIPAL
REGENTS
INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL PATTAYA
In true sporting spirit please cheer on all
of your fellow participants and aim high –
sometimes there is more in you than you
think. Good luck!
We are delighted to have you with us.
Dear FOBISIA Games participants, colleagues and parents !
W elcome to Regents International
School Pattaya! The FOBISIA
tournaments are always
busy affairs with heaps of energy, passion
and excitement; I am sure this week will
be no different. There will be celebrations,
exhilaration and, no doubt, a few tears along
the way. What links it all is the sense of
togetherness.
A firm belief that healthy competition in a
supportive atmosphere helps us all improve
our sporting abilities and our character. Of
course, we all like to win but, as someone who
competed regularly at school in athletics and
football, it was the losses that I remember the
most.
WELCOME FROM THE HEAD OF SECONDARY
MR. GARRY RUSSELL HEAD OF SECONDARY REGENTS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL PATTAYA
It was those moments of disappointment that
I can still feel and taste. It was those moments
that made me want to try harder and have
certainly made me a stronger person.
Ultimately, there are no real losers at
FOBISIA tournaments, only steps along the
way to getting better at what we do. Success
is measured not just by trophies but also
by lessons learnt and friendships made.
Good luck to everyone competing and
let the games begin!
WELCOME FROM THE PE DEPARTMENT
W e are very excited to be
hosting you all at the U13
FOBISIA Games this year
and are looking forward to you having an
amazing time here in Thailand. We have
an action packed three days of competitive
sport planned, but there will also be time
to meet up with ‘old’ FOBISIA friends and
make new ones too. We hope your training
and preparation for your events has gone
well as we are anticipating high quality play
in basketball and football with fantastic
individual performances in both swimming
and athletics.
Dear Athletes,
Throughout each of the sports we know we
can count on you displaying an outstanding
level of sportsmanship and respect shown
towards all our officials and staff. During the
games we will be busy coaching our teams
but as hosts we are also here to support and
ensure you enjoy your time here at Regents
International School Pattaya. We are an
extremely friendly and approachable PE
team so please come and speak to us if we can
help you out in any way or just to say ‘hello’.
Good luck to you all.

Phi Phi island and its school. In the aftermath of the
disaster our teachers and students formed a working
party and travelled to the island to deliver aid and help
the community rebuild. Our partnership has grown
from strength the strength and we have purchased
your friendship bracelet as a special memento of your
time here with us at Regents International School
Pattaya at the ‘friendly’ FOBISIA U13 Games. These
bracelets were made by the students at the school
and money raised will help to support their family’s
income. Again, they are very appreciative of your
kind support.
