Congratulations on qualifying for the Grand Finals of the 2016 Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup

Amateur Series (TAWGC).

2016 was a record breaking year for the TAWGC, as it officially became the widest reaching

corporate amateur golf tournament in the world. Since its launch in 2013, the amateur series

has continued to grow in size and popularity, with more than 7,500 competitors taking part in

this years qualifying campaign which featured 100 qualifying events in 61 countries worldwide.

One winner from each qualifying event will now contest the Grand Final, battling it out for a

coveted spot in the pro-am of the 2016 Turkish Airlines Open.

In addition, each Grand Finalist will be treated to round trip business class flights with Turkish

Airlines and eight nights all-inclusive accommodation in the Titanic Deluxe Belek. Following the

Grand Final and pro-am, all finalists are also invited to enjoy all four days of the Turkish Airlines

Open in VIP hospitality as guests of Turkish Airlines.

open at 10:00 in the TAWGC tournament room – directly opposite the main

hotel reception.

TA Open Round One at Carya Golf Club. All TAWGC competitors will receive a

VIP hospitality pass, allowing them access to the luxury VIP area in the

clubhouse, during all four rounds of the tournament.

TA Open Final Round. First shuttle will depart from The Titanic Deluxe at 09:00

and at 30 minute intervals thereafter. A return service will be available from

12:00 for competitors and guests needing to return to the hotel for airport

shuttles.

All day Players depart for Antalya airport. Airport shuttle timetables will be displayed

in the TAWGC tournament room.

Flight Information and Arrival Instructions

By now, your local Turkish Airlines office should have been in touch to book flights for yourself

and, if you are bringing one, your guest.

All business class passengers have a 30 kg weight limit for their hold luggage and are entitled to

take two items of carry on luggage into the cabin (with a maximum weight of 8 kg per bag).

And of course, your golf clubs fly for free with Turkish Airlines!

Almost all international flights will connect to Antalya via Istanbul Ataturk Airport.

Upon approach to Istanbul Ataturk, the cabin crew will make an announcement informing you

of the procedure to follow for connecting to a domestic airport. Departure times and gates will

also be displayed on the inflight entertainment system where applicable.

Flight Policy

Please note that flights are subject to change and subject to the Turkish Airlines Conditions Of

Carriage (Passenger and Baggage), a copy of which can be obtained on the Turkish Airlines

Website www.turkishairlines.com – see Legal Notice on the Travel Information tab.

Should you miss a flight through your own fault, Turkish Airlines are not obliged to re-book your

seat and you may incur the cost of a new flight booking yourself. New flight bookings will be

subject to availability.

Turkish e-Visa

Dependant on your nationality, upon arrival in Turkey, you will be asked to present your

Turkish e-Visa.

Turkish e-Visas are now very easy to apply for—the entire process can be done online in just

ten minutes. To get started and for more info of eligible countries, please visit the Turkish e-

Visa website.

What to do on Arrival at Istanbul Ataturk Airport

When landing at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, all International passengers transferring to onward

domestic connections must clear passport control. If your luggage has been checked through

to Antalya, you WILL NOT need to retrieve your luggage at Istanbul Ataturk Airport. All hold

luggage that has been checked to Antalya will be transferred directly on to your next aircraft

and will be available for collection in Antalya.

After clearing passport control, you should go to the domestic departures terminal (turn left

when entering the arrivals hall and follow signs for ‘domestic departures’).

If you have enough time between your flights, all business class travellers are invited to visit the

Turkish Airlines Business Lounge in the domestic departures terminal.

Note—be sure to leave yourself plenty of time to move around the airport as there can often be

long walks between terminals and queues during busy periods.

What to do on Arrival at Antalya Airport

International Passengers

All passengers whose journeys start outside of Turkey, and connect in Istanbul should follow

the instructions of the Ground Services team upon disembarkation of the aircraft in Antalya

who will direct you to the international baggage collection carousel.

Once you have collected your bags, upon leaving the baggage reclaim hall, a TAWGC

representative will direct you to your complimentary transfer to the Titanic Deluxe Belek.

Turkish Passengers

Turkish passengers arriving on a domestic flight from Istanbul should proceed to the domestic

baggage hall.

The Titanic Deluxe Belek Hotel

All TAWGC Grand Finalists and their guests will stay at the Titanic Deluxe Belek hotel for the

duration of the Grand Final trip. Nestled amongst vast pine forests, on the banks of the Beşgöz

River, the resort offers Finalists and their guests the opportunity to unwind in one of its 11

swimming pools – including the Ocean Pool, the biggest pool in the Antalya region – or to relax

with a cocktail on the one kilometre private beach.

Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be greeted by a member of the TAWGC/hotel team. They will

direct you to the hotel reception desk where you can check in and collect your room cards.

Here, you will have the option of leaving your golf clubs with concierge who will arrange for

them to be transported to and stored at the Golf Club.

Note—For those guests who do not fly out of Antalya Airport until later on Sunday 6th

November, we advise that you enquire about late check out of your room when checking in.

After checking in with the hotel, you will need to register at the official tournament desk,

which will be located inside the TAWGC tournament room, located directly opposite the hotel

reception desk. Here you will receive your welcome pack and be able to view information for

the week. Round One draw sheets will be available to view from Sunday 30th October.

Note - The official tournament desk will be open from 10:00 on Saturday 29th October.

The hotel has an all inclusive policy, with ten different buffet or A la Carte restaurants on site.

Note—Nominal additional charges may apply for some A la Carte restaurants, payable in Euros

on departure.

There are also extensive leisure and spa facilities onsite so we advise you bring your gym

clothes and swimwear.

The Grand Final Tournament

The Grand Final tournament will take place on Monday 31st October and Tuesday 1st

November at Titanic Golf Club.

All competitors will play both rounds, with the overall winners decided by combining Round

One and Round Two scores.

Ten Grand Finalists will then progress to compete in the Turkish Airlines Open Pro-Am. More

information on this can be found on the next page.

Titanic Golf Club

Set against the stunning backdrop of the snow covered Taurus Mountains, Titanic Golf Club

features 27 holes of championship golf. World renowned course architects, Hawtree Limited

carved the holes from 110 hectares of naturally rolling land, which has created some of the

best viewing points on any golf course on the Turkish Riviera.

The TAWGC Grand Final will be contested on the Mediterranean and River nines with

gentlemen playing the yellow course (5713 metres) and ladies the red course (4994 metres).

Prizes

The top three players in the net stableford category will be presented with trophies at the Prize

Presentation Ceremony on Tuesday 1st November.

There will also be an award for best gross score and a Conte of Florence voucher for the winner

of the men’s and ladies’ nearest the pin in Round One. The same player will be eligible to win

more than one prize.

Ten qualifiers from the Grand Final will also get the opportunity to tee it up with some of the

leading names on the European Tour in the pro-am of the Turkish Ailrines Open at Carya Golf

Club on Wednesday 2nd November 2016.

The day will include a pre-round breakfast and post-round buffet in the VIP Hospitality area in

the clubhouse at Carya.

Pro-Am places will be awarded as follows:

The net competition will take priority. If a player finishes in the top six places in the net

category and also finishes in the top two in the gross category, or wins Round One/Two, a

pro-am spot will be awarded to the next highest placed player in the respective category.

The count-back method will be used to settle any ties. Please refer to the tournament rules for

more information on count-back.

Tournament Tee Times

Round One

09:00—Shotgun start. All players are requested to register by no later than 08:15. A group

photograph will take place at approximately 08:30.

Round Two

09:00—Shotgun start. All players are requested to register by no later than 08:15. The practice

ground will be open from 07:30 on both tournament days.

Turkish Airlines Open Pro-Am

12:45— Shotgun start. Registration and pre round continental breakfast served from 10:00.

Practice Round

A complimentary practice round will be available for any player wishing to practice on the

course prior to the Grand Final tournament. Play will commence with a shotgun start at 08:30.

All players will be allocated a starting hole based on their qualifying region and you will be

notified of your starting hole when registering at the tournament desk on Saturday.

Shuttle Buses

Shuttle buses will be available to transport player between the hotel and golf course on each

day. Please refer to the detailed schedule later in this document for more details. A daily

schedule will also be displayed on the tournament notice board at the official TAWGC

tournament desk.

Golf Carts

During tournament rounds, the use of golf carts will only be permitted on production of a valid

medical certificate and on a first come, first served basis. Carts will cost €30 per round and will

be available at the registration desk located in the golf club on the morning of each round.

Limited golf carts will also be available for the practice round and any player is permitted to use

them. They will be available on a first come, first served basis and will also cost €30 per round,

payable directly to Titanic Golf Club. Please contact events@ism.golf to reserve a golf cart for

the practice round.

Tournament Rules

Format of Play and Competition Conditions Individual stableford competition off full tournament handicap. The tournament will be decided over two rounds at Titanic Golf Club (Mediterranean and River nines). All competitors will play both rounds. Gentlemen will play the yellow course from the black Turkish Airlines tee markers and Ladies will play the red course from the white Turkish Airlines tee markers. The maximum tournament handicap index limit will be 24.0. Tournament handicaps will be calculated by applying the slope and course ratings of the relevant tees used by each player (yellow for gentlemen and red for ladies) and will be available to view at the tournament reception desk from 16:00 on Sunday 30th October 2016. In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided by count back – firstly over the final 18 holes (ie Round Two). If the scores are still tied, the final 9 holes of Round Two will be used. If the scores are still tied, the final 6 holes, final 3 holes then the 18th hole of Round Two in that order will be used until a winner is decided. If still tied, the last 12 holes, then last 15 holes will be used, which failing, it will be hole-by-hole starting at the first hole. The Committee will settle all decisions on the rules and reserves the right of modification. Their decision is final. Under exceptional circumstances, the Committee reserve the right to amend the competitor’s second round handicap based on their first round score. The Committee will be Mr. Andrew McNabola, Mr. Richard Muckart, Mrs. Ilknur Razgratli and Mr. Craig Bolton. General Play will be in accordance with the Rules of Golf as laid down by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews. Please see the additional rules sheet for local rules. Please arrive at your designated tee at least 10 minutes before your designated start time. Under Rule 6-3a, If the player arrives at their starting point, ready to play, within five minutes after their starting time, the penalty for failure to start on time is 2 stableford points, which will be deducted from the players overall stableford score for the round. Otherwise, the penalty for breach of this Rule is disqualification (rule 32-1b, note 2).

Tournament Rules (continued)

Play without ‘undue delay’ as Rule 6-7 will be enforced if necessary. Rounds should take no longer than 5 hours and players are requested not to putt out if they cannot score. In addition, under rule 33-1, the Committee reserve the right to establish pace of play guidelines, indicating maximum periods of time to complete each round, hole or shot. If such guidelines are enforced, and a competitor is found to be in breach of them, penalties will be issued as follows:-First offence – Deduction of one point from the total points scored in the round. Second offence – Deduction of a further two points from the total points score in the round. Any subsequent offences – Disqualification. If at any time you play a ball which you think may end up lost or out of bounds, for speed of play purposes play a provisional ball – Rule 27. Immediately after completing your round, thoroughly check, sign and return your card to the championship official. Penalty for breach of Rule 6-6b disqualification. Competitors will be allowed to use a ‘bag carrier’ at the Grand Finals. They should be a ‘bag carrier’ only and must not provide advice and/or assistance to competitors during either round. Any discontinuance of play will be governed by Rule 6-8 and notified by a continuous blast from a claxon. In the event of play being unable to resume, the results will be decided based on the least number of holes completed by any player participating in the tournament – a minimum of six holes must be completed for the tournament to be valid. Winners will be determined by calculating their gross score then subtracting the appropriate percentage of their handicap at the point of suspension (ie if nine holes are completed, half of the players handicap will be subtracted from their gross score after that point). Any player recording a no score on a hole will be awarded a net double bogey on that hole for the purpose of calculating winners. The use of mobile phones for making calls is not permitted on the golf course. The use of mobile phones for GPS distance measuring devices is permitted. Please ensure that all mobile phones are set to ’silent’. The use of distance measuring devices is approved at the Grand Finals of The Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup. For all play in the Finals, a player may obtain distance information using a device that measures distance only. If a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (i.e. gradient, wind-speed, temperature etc.) the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualifi-cation, regardless of whether any such additional function is actually used.

The Turkish Airlines Open Pro-Am

For players who are fortunate enough to qualify for the Turkish Airlines Open Pro-Am, the

event will take place at Carya Golf Club on Wednesday 2nd November with a 12:45 shotgun

start. You will be informed of your professional and starting hole after the Prize Presentation

Ceremony on Tuesday 1st November.

A player only shuttle bus will be departing the main lobby of the hotel at 09:30 and 10:00 to

allow competitors to arrive at Carya in time for the pre-tournament breakfast.

Note—A detailed shuttle bus schedule will be available for all competitors and guests to view at

the tournament reception desk.

For non-qualifiers, Carya will be open for public viewing on the Wednesday Pro-Am day but

please be aware that VIP hospitality will not be available for non-competitors on this day.

The Turkish Airlines Open

Commencing on Thursday 3rd November, the $7,000,000 Turkish Airlines Open is the opening

event of the Race to Dubai Final Series.

A selection of Europe and the world’s best golfers will comprise the 78 man field in this year’s

tournament which in its inaugural year of 2013 was hailed as the best ever first event on the

European Tour by Chief Executive George O’Grady.

As a competitor in the TAWGC, you will be invited to enjoy all four days of the tournament

from the comfort of the luxury VIP Hospitality facility at Carya Golf Club.

VIP hospitality will be available on all tournament days, with doors opening at 09:00 and closing

at 18:00, including the following service times:

09:00-11:00—complimentary breakfast

12:30 and 15:00—Complimentary hot lunch buffet.

Complimentary drinks and snacks will be available throughout the day.

All TAWGC Grand Finalists and their guests are invited to attend the following functions during

Pre-Tournament Party—Sunday 30th October

An informal Welcome Party will take place in the Clubhouse at Titanic Golf Club from 19:30

onwards. There will be a short welcome speech running through the schedule for the week

and a brief summary of the tournament rules.

The 2016 TAWGC Grand Final Gala Dinner and Prize Presentation Ceremony —Tuesday 1st

November

An exciting ceremony, taking place in the convention centre in the Titanic Deluxe will conclude

the 2016 TAWGC Grand Final. A drinks reception will open at 19:30 with food served from

20:00 onwards.

Food and beverage—Three course meal.

Dress code—smart casual. The 2016 Turkish Airlines Open Championship Party—Wednesday 2nd November

All TAWGC competitors and their guests will be invited to attend the TA Open Championship

Party which will take place at the Regnum Hotel from 20:30. Shuttle bus transfers will be

available from 20:00 and transfer time will be approximately 15 minutes.

Food and beverage—International buffet and drinks.

Miscellaneous

Required Clothing

Because of its prime position on the Mediterranean coast, Belek is subject to almost all year

round sun and warm temperatures. Over the month of November, peak daytime temperatures

are likely to be 20 degrees (Celsius). Temperatures at in the early mornings and at night can get

quite cool, however so please be advised to bring warm clothing for those periods.

Late October/early November can also be a wet month in Turkey—although not as wet as the

rest of Europe. Please bring suitable waterproof clothing just in case the weather takes a turn

for the worse.

Caddies/Bag Carrier

Competitors will be permitted to use a bag carrier only at the Grand Finals. The bag carrier

must not provide advice to the players during either round.

Travel Insurance

Turkish Airlines or ISM will not issue any form of travel insurance for the trip and accept no

liability for loss of belongings or personal injury. We strongly urge you to organise travel

insurance for you and your guests prior to departing for Turkey.

available at the official tournament desk upon registration from Saturday 29th October.

Turkish Airlines Open Volunteering Opportunity

We are excited to offer all TAWGC Grand Finalists and their guests the opportunity to work at

the Turkish Airlines Open as a volunteer. Volunteers are integral to the success of any

professional golf tournament and are afforded inside the ropes access alongside some of the

greatest players in the modern game. Your key responsibility will be marshalling and you will

receive an official Conte of Florence TA Open polo shirt, jacket and cap, along with a

complimentary breakfast and lunch box on volunteering days.

Volunteering positions will be available on between Thursday 3rd and Sunday 6th November.
