Sport Karate International Tournament Alliance (SKITA) rules will be used in all divisions. All blackbelt and under blackbelt players must enter divisions based upon the age they were on January 1, 2012 at 12:01AM. See exceptions - Rules at a Glance on pages 12 & 13 under FORMS 6, or SKITA rulebook V.B.4. SKITA rulebooks are downloadable at www.nblskil.com or send a 9x12 SASE w/$1.50 US postage to:

The placement of a player into Nov-ice, Intermediate or Advanced shall not be determined by belt color, but rather by dividing up the number of under blackbelt ranks that the player’s style/school offers, equally into the amount of divisions provided for any age grouping (i.e. novice, intermediate, advanced). If there is an indivisible amount, the extra ranks shall be put into the more advanceddivision. Refer to chart >>>

PLEASE READ:NOTE: Admission into the tournament as a competitor/spectator will be monitored at all times. We reserve the right to refuse admittance and/or revoke the purchased entry or pass of any Competitor, Spectator, Coach, or Judge, if deemed there is violation of the rules and regulations of the competition herein. SKITA fines will be strictly levied towards those who do not behave in the proper manner. COACH’S PASS: Coach’s pass allowed for sparring only and only when your player is “on deck” or “up”. No forms coaching.

TOURNAMENT STARTING TIME:Please be aware that the tournament will start on time. It is your respon-sibility to be available for all of your divisions at their correct locations when they begin.

SKIL MEMBER POINTS:SKIL members are allowed to use wins in NBL divisions toward their SKIL blackbelt point charts.

AGE OF COMPETITOR:(Birth Certificates must be presented upon Request) All blackbelt and under blackbelt players must enter divisions based upon the age they were on January 1, 2012 at 12:01 a.m. excepting those players who turn 18, 35, 45 during the circuit season (NBL - January 1 through December 31/SKIL - July 1 through June 30) are allowed to move up and compete in those divisions if the player will be turning that age during the circuit season - see SKITA rule book V.B.4.
