Dear Parents and Students.... Life has become unpredictable and the session 2020-21, had been a Pandemic year of Covid-19 - A difficult year for all of us.
But it taught all of us a lot more.
Initially, everybody was perplexed about children's studies. With the blessing of Almighty, solution came in the form of digital platform. It was a transition period from offline classroom to online digital platform.
We, the SNPS family, with your whole hearted cooperation has achieved a lot during the past one year - Online teaching-learning, activities, competitions and above all online assessments etc. The session ended successfully and all students were promoted to the next grade.
Congratulations to one and all, in all these endeavours.
Let us all pray to overcome this Global Crisis, for courage of heart and strength of mind and body.

GLORIOUS MOMENT- MOMENT OF PRIDE
Ashwani Dubey, ex-student of SNPS, Nirankari Colony (2013-14 batch) has added a
jewel in the bounty of achievement of our School. He has truly exhibited this belief
‘Determination and Commitment bring accomplishment’ by proving his mettle
through his excellent performance in UPSC CAPF AC 2019 Exam with AIR-79.
He is appointed as Assistant Commandant of Police (ACP) in CAPFs. His post is
equivalent to DySP in a State, Captain in Indian Army and Gazetted Officer in the
Ministry Of Home Affairs.
‘Winter Camp is all about growth and accomplishment.’
To provide unique opportunity for overall development of the students, a Winter Camp was organised for Primary
grades, from 4th January to 8th January, 2021 . The camp comprised of thoughtful and skillful activities like yoga,
culinary classes, art, dance, story- telling etc. It enabled the students to inculcate Leadership Qualities, Time
Management, Optimism and Keen Observance.
LOHRI, MAKAR SANKRANTI & PONGAL CELEBRATION
The auspicious festivals of “Lohri, Sakranti and Pongal” were virtually celebrated with great zeal in the Pre
Primary wing, on 13th January, 2021. Significance of the festivals was beautifully depicted through videos,
followed by free hand drawing of “Lohri scenes” and tapping their feet on the folk songs, the tiny tots rejoiced
the festive mood.
ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS MONTH (18th JAN’ 21 TO 17th FEB’ 21)

In accordance with the circular received from cbse to observe the road safety month, following activities were

STRICT COMPLIANCE OF ‘FLAG CODE OF INDIA’ AND
‘PREVENTION OF INSULTS TO NATIONAL HONOUR ACT’
‘A thoughtful mind, when it sees a Nation’s flag sees not a flag, but a Nation itself....’
In accordance with the circular sent by DOE, a Power Point presentation was circulated in all class groups to sensitize
the students, for strict compliance of Flag code of India and to prevent dishonour, in any sense, to the National
Symbols, under the National Honour Act. The facilitators guided the students during the morning assembly in lieu of
the same.

To rejoice in the glory of India and freedom fighters
on this Republic Day, combined virtual assemblies
were conducted for all grades, on 25th Jan, 2021.
The string of patriotism comprised of patriotic
dances, songs, speeches, poems and reading of the
National Preamble. Inter House Competitions of
Patriotic Dance and Declamation were also added in
the series.

To commemorate the Guru Puja Diwas, 2021 and to pay tribute to Rev. Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, on his 67th birth anniversary, string of activities were conducted virtually during the combined morning assembly in all grades. A presentation on Baba ji's life and preachings was displayed followed by rendition of Avtaar Bani Shabad, elucidation of importance of the day by facilitators and virtual tree plantation. The day further resumed with Inter House competition on Hardev Bani followed with tree plantation and adoption campaign in school premises.

Management, staff and students. Dr. B.S.
Aggarwal , DDE, Zone IX, graced the occasion
with his benign presence.
‘Science of today is the technology of tomorrow’
To instil scientific temperament and to arouse logical and critical thinking in the learners, a special online
assembly was organised for students of classes IV and V on 27th February 2021, on the occasion of National
Science Day. This day is celebrated to mark the great invention of the Indian Physicist Chandrasekhara
Venkata Raman who discovered ‘Ramans Effect’.
The day began with Introduction of our Scientist Dr. C.V. Raman followed with speeches and magic tricks
performed by the Science faculty.
It was indeed a very knowledgeable day in which the main motive was to spread a message about the
importance of Science used in daily life.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR NEW SESSION
“A parent is a teacher at home, a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the center of our
universe.”
An ‘Orientation Programme’ was organized, virtually, for the parents and students of grades X & XII (2021–
2022), on 27th March, 2021. The school vision, curriculum, school system, teaching methodologies, CBSE
Assessment Pattern and the co-scholastic activities were well explained by the facilitators. Stress was laid on
effective communication between the teachers and parents. Support and suggestions of the parents were also
sought so that the best could be done for the overall development of the students.
