Dear Parents: We are glad to have your child in our AWANA Club this year. I know he/she will have a wonderful time. Our AWANA club is divided into three groups and meets on Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and include the following groups: Cubbies 3 & 4 year old boys and girls (must be potty trained) Sparks K5 through 2nd grade boys and girls T&T (Truth & Training) 3rd through 6th grade boys and girls AWANA is an acronym for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” (2 Timothy 2:15). Our AWANA club is part of the more than 13,000 Clubs around the world. These community clubs are open to all youth and have children from any different faiths and churches. While your child will not be required to attend other functions of our church, all the services and opportunities of the church are open to you and your family. In fact, while your child is in AWANA there is various bible studies meeting in the high school building. The weekly AWANA club consists of three parts: games, handbook time and council time (bible stories, skits, object lessons, singing, etc). While the leaders, facilities and the equipment are provided by the church, each clubber is asked to bring $1.00 weekly dues to help cover the cost of treats, awards and supplies. We offer the option of discounting the dues for all who would like to pay a onetime “annual” $25 amount. On your child’s first night of Awana, he/she will receive an entrance booklet, which is the first step in their AWANA achievements this year. We hope you will help him/her complete this booklet in the next few weeks. After the entrance booklet is completed, a clubber is eligible to purchase a book and uniform to earn more achievement awards as a member of AWANA. I have included a price list for books/uniforms. All AWANA kids earn AWANA shares by completing sections in their books, participating in special activities and various other ways. Leaders will keep up with the number of shares each clubber has earned. After your clubber has achieved a certain amount of shares, they will receive a reward. Along with growing in Christ, your child’s safety is our highest priority. All AWANA leaders must pass a background check before being allowed to work with children. And we are always looking for more volunteers, if you are able to help us this year, please let us know. We also ask that you escort your child inside the building and obtain a security badge from the kiosks each week. At the end of the night, please come inside to pick them up. We will not allow children to wander outside by themselves to meet you. Please feel free to visit our club at anytime or call if you have questions. Dear Parents:

We are glad to have your child in our AWANA Club this year. I know he/she will have

AWANA is an acronym for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” (2 Timothy 2:15). Our AWANA club is

part of the more than 13,000 Clubs around the world. These community clubs are open to all youth and

On your child’s first night of Awana, he/she will receive an entrance booklet, which is the first step in their

weeks. After the entrance booklet is completed, a clubber is eligible to purchase a book and uniform to earn

more achievement awards as a member of AWANA. I have included a price list for books/uniforms.

All AWANA kids earn AWANA shares by completing sections in their books, participating in special activities

and various other ways. Leaders will keep up with the number of shares each clubber has earned. After your
