North America & Oceania February Pray2020

Dear staff brothers and sisters in North America and Oceania, It is our joyful task to take part in the global prayer and fasting chain for our 2020 goals during February. To help us cover the world with a “prayer canopy,” a guide follows, including daily scriptures, prayers and requests. We will pray alphabetically around the world for our 13 ministry areas during the week, and on weekends, especially for revival in the Church.

As we pray each day, we are asking God that by the end of 2020, He would raise up 10 million Christ-centered multiplying disciples and 5 million new church plants. Approximately 5 billion people in the world have yet to follow Jesus. Reaching these goals, with a new church for every 1,000 people, would bring us close to the fulfillment of our dream that everyone would know someone who truly follows Jesus. To help you as you pray this month, the goals of our 4 field Mission Critical Components are included below. We are also asking God each day to:

● MOLD our hearts to be one with His heart ● MULTIPLY our lives into the lives of others ● MOBILIZE laborers through our prayer and ministry efforts

Friday, February 1 Read and reflect: John 15:1-17 Mould/Multiply/Mobilise Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing (vv. 4-5). If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be My disciples. As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Abide in My love (vv. 7-9).* Draw near Lord God, I come before You and ask that You draw me near to You. I am at home when I am with You; You alone are my true dwelling. May my heart and mind continue to rest in Your presence and experience the abundance of Your grace and love. When I’m losing my way or turning to the things of this world, graciously remind me to seek Your face and to remain in You. Father, out of Your amazing love for me, would You continue to woo me to Yourself. Mould my heart and my desires as You see fit. Would You help me to remain in You so that my life is fruitful and brings You honour and glory. Saturday, February 2 Read and reflect: Psalm 51 Mould Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from Your presence, and take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit (vv. 10-12). Draw near Lord Jesus, create in me a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within me. I so long to live in step with Your Spirit, but there are too many times when I get in the way of what You are trying to do. Reveal the attitudes and thoughts within me that need to be reshaped by You. Show me the places where my pride hinders the work that You’re doing. Let my heart and mind quickly turn to You when I’m convicted of the sin in my life. Reveal my blind spots to me. Lord, I’m desperate for You! I surrender to You. Sunday, February 3 Read and reflect: 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 Multiply/Mobilise Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain (v. 58). Draw near O holy and glorious God, I praise You as the mighty Victor over all. Thank You that You give us life and life eternal through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You that You are the way, the truth, and the life and that there is no other way to eternal life than through You. Father, let the work of my hands be compelled by my deep love for You. Remind me when I’m feeling discouraged or disappointed, that work done for Your glory is not in vain. Keep me walking faithfully in step with Your Spirit as I yearn for every person to have an opportunity to not only hear about You, Jesus, but to trust in You. Monday, February 4 Read and reflect: Hebrews 4:14-16 Mould Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need (vv. 14-16). Draw near Lord Jesus, it is with a humble heart that I approach Your throne of grace, as my need for Your grace and mercy is constant. Thank You that You truly do know the struggles and challenges of this world; You have compassion on me, as You, too, have walked this earth. As I experience a greater portion of You, let my heart be shaped and moulded to look more and more like You. May I find greater portions of mercy and grace to extend to others in time of need. Pray for Africa and the Middle East

Tuesday, February 5 Read and reflect: James 1:19-27 Mould/Multiply/Mobilise But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing (vv. 22-25). Draw near Change is rarely easy, Lord. Give me not only a love for Your Word, but also a deep desire to live out Your Word in my life so that You are glorified. Help me to persevere in the moments when it is just hard, knowing that my efforts will bear spiritual fruit and blessing. Remind me that obedience to You leads to blessings in life. Lord, I pray that Your blessings would enable others to see You more clearly. Pray for the Americas and Oceania

Wednesday, February 6 Read and reflect: 2 Timothy 2:1-13 Multiply You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also (vv. 1-2). Draw near Lord, thank You for those who have walked alongside me as I’ve been trained up in the faith. I’m grateful for every person who has helped to shape me, as together we’ve walked in step with You. Jesus, continue to increase my heart’s desire to share You with others and to walk alongside those who seek to become multiplying disciples. Lead me to those people, and help me to keep my focus on the work that You’ve prepared for me ahead of time. Multiply my life for Your glory, Lord. Thursday, February 7 Read and reflect: Psalm 46 Mould/Mobilise “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress (vv. 10-11). Draw near My refuge, my strength, my help… my heart will not fear because I personally know the Creator of the universe. Thank You that You are always with me. What a sweet promise to cling to. Help me to remember this every waking moment and as I rest my head at night. As I reflect on all that You’ve done, both the grand and the miniscule, may I be left standing in awe of who You are, Lord. And in my stillness, may I continue to trust You for the grandness of 10 million multiplying disciples by the end of 2020. Pray for Europe and PACT

Friday, February 8 Read and reflect: Joshua 1:1-8 Mould/Multiply/Mobilise This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success (v. 8). Draw near Lord, thank You that Your Word is alive and active today. Just as Joshua was called to meditate upon it day and night, let that be the desire of my heart as well. Continue to give me a hunger and thirst for You and Your righteousness. May Your Word provide the guidance and leadership I need as I seek to multiply my life and mobilise others for the fulfilment of the Great Commission. God, enable me to keep moving forward with the strength and courage that come from You. Saturday, February 9 Read and reflect: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-24 Mobilise Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (vv. 16-18). Draw near Jesus, I worship You! Thank You that every aspect of my life allows me to worship You each and every day. Let me constantly be rejoicing in what You are doing in me, through me, and around me. Thank You for hearing my prayers and at times allowing me a glimpse of what You’re doing around me. May I ask myself daily, “How can I bring You glory today, Lord?” And Father, would You lead me to those whom You want to join in the work of fulfilling the Great Commission. Sunday, February 10 Read and reflect: Psalm 25 Mould Good and upright is the LORD; therefore He instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble His way. All the paths of the LORD are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep His covenant and His testimonies (vv. 8-10). Draw near Lord, I praise You for Your steadfast love for me. My heart is humbled that You continuously pour out Your love for me, in spite of my many failings. Continue to teach me Your ways. Help me walk in step with your Spirit. Mould my heart in such a way that I take great delight in walking in Your ways. Help me be quick to confess any pride that creeps into my mind. May my eyes be focused on You, Jesus, and my ears attuned to Your voice. Pray for revival Pray that local staff members abide in Christ for the strength they need to follow where the Holy Spirit leads, and that this abiding would be the basis of all their activities. “Simply defined, prayer is earthly permission for heavenly interference.” - Tony Evans

Monday, February 11 Read and reflect: 1 Corinthians 1:18-31 Multiply But we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men (vv. 23-25). Draw near Jesus, thank You for allowing me to personally experience the power of the cross when I started following You. I’m forever grateful that You opened my eyes to that which the world reckons as foolishness. Help me to faithfully proclaim Your name and share You with others, so that my life is multiplied for Your glory. As I experience a deeper understanding of Your grace in my life, let my life be a conduit of Your grace and love to those around me. Pray for Africa and the Middle East

Tuesday, February 12 Read and reflect: Ephesians 3:14-21 Mould/Multiply That according to the riches of His glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God (vv. 16-19). Draw near Lord, You alone are the Almighty, Infinite God of the universe. You spoke our world into existence. Yet, You are also so very personal and desire a deep and intimate relationship with me. Jesus, help me to dwell in Your presence, enjoying the richness of Your love. Together with my brothers and sisters, in unity, may there be an increase in our heart understanding of the breadth and length and height and depth of Your love, a love that truly surpasses knowledge. Fill me, Lord, to a place of fullness of You. Let my life not only be moulded in Your image, but may it overflow into the lives of others. Pray for the Americas and Oceania

Wednesday, February 13 Read and reflect: Mark 12:28-34 Mould/Multiply “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” The second is this: ”You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” There is no other commandment greater than these (vv. 30-31). Draw near Lord, I long to love You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. Yet, there are so many things that distract me from keeping my gaze upon You. I confess my great need for You. Continue to grow me so that my life is an ever-increasing reflection of Your amazing glory. And increase my capacity to love my neighbour. It’s easy to love those who are similar to me, but a greater challenge to extend myself to those who are different. Lord, give me an increasing love for those around me who do not know You. Give me an increasing love for those You’ve given me to train up as multiplying disciples. Give me eyes to see others as You see them, Jesus. Pray for East Asia Opportunities and East Asia Orient Pray that local staff members would continue to steward and launch Christ-centred, multiplying disciples throughout their area.

Thursday, February 14 Read and reflect: Luke 10:1-12 Mobilise And He said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. …Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house!’ And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest upon him. But if not, it will return to you. And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the laborer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house” (vv. 2,5-7). Draw near Lord, I come before You and ask You for the harvest. Thank You for putting it upon my heart to respond to Your call in my own life. Father, give me eyes to see those around me that You are calling to serve You either full-time or as a volunteer. I ask for great boldness and courage to continually invite those You reveal to me into this great adventure of serving You in full-time ministry. Remind me of my own story and Your amazing faithfulness, as I trust You for many conversations over the coming months. Pray for Europe and PACT

Friday, February 15 Read and reflect: Philippians 2:1-11 Mould So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind (vv. 1-2). Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men (vv. 5-7). Draw near May my eyes, ears, heart, mind and soul be constantly seeking encouragement and comfort from You, Lord. Let my affections be for You and You alone. May the deep desires of my heart be in step with Yours throughout each and every day. It is so easy at times to let myself become the focus; I confess my ongoing need for You in my life. Help me to walk as Your humble servant, relinquishing my pride so that I can be a brighter reflection of the living God. Pray for South Asia and Southeast Asia Pray that those involved in local movements, in partnership with the local body of Christ, would be able to meet the needs of the poor around them--physically, emotionally, and spiritually--from the abundant resources of Christ the King. “I have but one passion: It is He, it is He alone. Saturday, February 16 Read and reflect: John 20:19-23 Multiply Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent Me, even so I am sending you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit” (vv. 21-22). Draw near Lord, there are times when fear grips me and I don’t see what it is You’re doing. Forgive me for the times I allow fear to take over, as this can lead to doing nothing of value for Your kingdom. Jesus, remind me of Your presence and Your peace that You so long for me to experience on a regular basis. Help me rest in this truth. And as I rest in this space and am able to experience Your incredible love for me, remind me that I’m not only loved by You, but I’m also sent by You as Your kingdom ambassador here in this world. Through the power of Your Holy Spirit, may I go out in power and strength. Pray for revival Pray for the needs of the poor, that Christians would step out in faith to meet their needs and point them to Jesus. “The will of God will not take us where the grace of God cannot sustain us.” - Billy Graham

Sunday, February 17 Read and reflect: John 17 Multiply/Mobilise As you sent Me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate Myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word, that they may all be one, just as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You have sent Me (vv. 18-21). Draw near Lord, thank You for the rich treasures found in this prayer. I ask that You continue to sanctify me in Your word, the truth. Lead me to the hidden treasures that emerge through Your discipline and training, often found in our hardship and suffering. Oh, what treasures we have in You, Jesus! Thank You for sending me into the world. May my heart’s desire be to glorify You. Use me to invite others into a saving relationship with You. Help me to train up those in my circle of influence as Christ-centred multiplying disciples. Lead me in helping to mobilise others in the Great Commission. Pray for revival Pray that through the efforts of local movements the poor would hear the gospel and be transformed by it. “Only God can give us a selfless love for others, as the Holy Spirit changes us from within. This is one reason we must receive Christ, for apart from His Spirit we can never be freed from the chains of selfishness, jealousy, and indifference. Monday, February 18 Read and reflect: Romans 12:1-2 Mould I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect (vv. 1-2, ESV). Draw near Jesus, thank You that I’m called to be a living sacrifice, fully surrendered to You. Help me to experience an even greater portion of Your love, grace and mercy, taking great delight in You alone. Reveal the places of my life that mirror and echo the culture around me. Remind me often of Your holiness, and that I’m called to live as one set apart, one chosen as an ambassador of the kingdom of God. Give me strength to live this out in our broken and dark world. Tuesday, February 19 Read and reflect: John 12:20-26 Multiply Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honour him (vv. 24-26). Draw near Lord, thank You for those who are seeking to know You, and especially for those You bring directly to me. These are often special opportunities that can bear much fruit. Continue to give me eyes to see these people. I ask for Spirit- empowered boldness to not only invite them to be Your followers, but for those who say yes, to continue to train them up in Your ways. Jesus, would You grow those in my circle of influence to do exceedingly more than what I could ever imagine. Pray for the Americas and Oceania

Draw near Jesus, the work still to be done is so vast. Give me a God-sized vision, something that is beyond myself that will continue to challenge me to invite others into mission--others to partner with in fulfilling the Great Commission. Take me to the places where people need to experience You. Help me to engage more fully with those who have never heard. Increase my passion and desire to invite people to follow You. How comforting to know that You watch over every aspect of my life. Jesus, help me to rest in Your amazing love, grace and mercy as I consider all You do for me. May I be awestruck at Your glory, honour and holiness. Please shape my heart to more fully reflect Your beauty, light and righteousness in the dark world around me. Friday, February 22 Read and reflect: Acts 6:1-7 Multiply/Mobilise “Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.”

This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism.

So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith (vv. 3-5,7, NIV).

Draw near God, I’m so grateful for the body of Christ and how each person has a place to serve You. You have gifted us each so uniquely and it brings You great delight and joy as we offer our gifts and talents for Your service. And regardless of where our place is, when our service is done in the power of the Holy Spirit and in love and humility, You take all of it and advance Your Kingdom in ways we could never imagine. Help me to guard my heart from pride and jealousy so that I’m not a barrier or hindrance to what You are doing. May I daily see what You’ve called me to do as an opportunity to love others and bring You glory. Saturday, February 23 Read and reflect: Colossians 1:3-14 Multiply/Mobilise This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better (vv. 6,10, NLT). Draw near

Lord, I’m in awe of the great love that You have not only shown me, but have used to transform my life over time; and I’m still a work in process. Thank You for the love You’ve given me for others. Yet, it’s not always easy to love others around me. Take me deeper still in Your gospel, so that those cracks and crevices of my heart that still need transformation can be worked on by You. Let the gospel go forth through me, as we never know how far-reaching our simple acts of sharing and love will extend. Let me walk in faithfulness to You, Lord. Sunday, February 24 Read and reflect: Exodus 33:12-23 Mould/Mobilise ”If You are pleased with me, teach me Your ways so I may know You and continue to find favor with You. Remember that this nation is Your people.” The LORD replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest” (vv. 13-14, NIV). Draw near Lord, to move in step with You is the desire of my heart. Please teach me Your ways, help me to be transformed into Your image and may I find favour in Your eyes. Help me to daily commune with You and be in step with Your Spirit’s working in my life. For those You’ve placed in my circle of influence, I ask that You continue to give me wisdom and guidance. Go before me, Jesus, so that I can lead with love, integrity and courage, for Your glory. Monday, February 25 Read and reflect: Matthew 11:25-30 Mould Then Jesus said, “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light” (vv. 28-30, New Living Translation). Draw near Life is both full and busy, Lord, and it never seems to stop in our fast-paced digital world. I find that weariness can plague me more often than I would like to admit. Give me ears to hear Your voice calling me when I find myself in these spaces. Help me to hear Your words, “Come to Me…I will give you rest.” I’m so grateful that You are constantly teaching me through Your loving grace; Your gentleness is evident. Keep my heart mouldable in Your hands, Lord. I love You! Pray for Africa and the Middle East

Draw near My great and glorious God, I praise Your name! I delight in the many promises I have in You. You have placed me in the lineage of Your sons and daughters. So often as I stop and gaze at the many stars in the night sky, I’m reminded of Your covenant promise to Abraham. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you (vv. 6-7, 9, NIV). Draw near Jesus, I’m incredibly thankful that we can bring every thought, every emotion, every aspect of our life to You. Knowing that You are truly my compassionate High Priest enables me to come with confidence. In the times when my heart turns toward anxiety, let me hear Your gentle whisper, “I’m here… come… sit with Me and share your heart." And as promised, You provide Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Continue to mould and shape my heart so I can be a model of one who rests in the perfect peace of God in all situations. Thursday, February 28 Read and reflect: Revelation 21 Mould, Multiply, Mobilise, Magnify And He who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also He said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be My son” (vv. 5-7). Draw near Oh, great and glorious God, I magnify Your name. To You and You alone I give honour, glory and praise. Oh Lord, there is none like You. I praise You as the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. Help me to come daily and drink of the Living Water I have today. May my heart look forward to what is yet to come when I’m finally home. Help me to journey well as Your child, being faithful to You, growing as Your follower, sharing You with those You bring into my life and equipping Your people. My heart rests in You, Lord Jesus!
