Lower back panel Block 9 WE CONTINUE THE collectable series of cushion patterns created by Debbie Abrahams with this third instalment for her latest design. Here we reveal the final front panel block and the lower back panel; next month we’ll have the pattern for the final panel, so you can complete this gorgeous design. The yarn, needle and equipment requirements that you’ll need to make the whole cushion are here. 84 beads; Yarn F, 84 beads; Yarn G, 96 beads. Cast on 110 sts using 3mm needles and Yarn E. Work in the foll stripe sequence (this is not indicated on the chart): Yarn F, 1 row Yarn G, 1 row Yarn E, 1 row Note: Do not cut off yarns E, F and G. Carry them up the side of the work. Rows 1-6: Beg with a RS row and Yarn A, work chart rows 1-6, rep the 9 st patt rep 11 times across each row, as indicated. Rows 7-90: Rep chart rows 3-6, 21 times. Cast off sts with RS facing you. v FRONT PANEL Block 9 With RS facing and using 3mm needles and a long tail of yarn B (still joined to the ball, leaving the ball at the start of the cast-on), pick up and knit 37 sts along the cast-off edge of block 8. Slip the sts back onto the other needle so that the RS of the work is facing you for row 1 of the pattern. Work in the foll stripe sequence while following the instructions below (this is not indicated on the chart): Yarn C, 1 row Yarn A, 1 row Yarn B, 1 row Note: Do not cut off yarns A, B and C. Carry them up the side of the work. Rows 1-4: Beg with a RS row, work chart rows 1-4, rep the 7 st patt rep 5 times across each row. Rows 5-52: Rep chart rows 1-4, 12 times. Cast off sts with RS facing towards you. LOWER BACK PANEL Note: The lower back panel is knitted slightly longer than half the length of the front panel so that the extra fabric sits neatly underneath the upper back panel when the buttons are fastened. With RS facing and using 3mm needles and
