We Remember that God-with-us is Peace

Jesus came to us as a baby for growing up in a family

who would nurture him and love him into the man he

would become. God’s peace in a family is truly a gift.

On Sunday, December 22nd, we will pray for the

employees and clients of Empower House and

report on the number of “Empty Bowl” tickets we

have purchased as a congregation.

Empower House supports survivors of domestic

violence, and the “Empty Bowl” event is an annual

fundraising effort. Your ticket to the event also buys

entry to the event, a handmade pottery bowl and the

meal to fill it on January 26, 2020. Tickets are $60

each. You may see Jeanne who will receive your

check and purchase your tickets, or you may

purchase them yourself at the Empower House

office (150 Olde Greenwich Drive, FBG, 22408) or at

Liberty Town Arts Workshop and Sophia Street

Studios. Tickets went on sale, December 1, 2019. Just

be sure to let Jeanne know how many tickets you are

purchasing so we can tally our support together. Plan

now to be a part of bringing Jesus’ peace to the hearts

and homes of many by helping Empower House calm

fears and heal troubled hearts (John 14:27).

It’s hard to believe, but the end of the year is upon us.

We are still have a ways to go to meet our budget, so

now is the time to make your gift. Have you given

what you gave last year? Will you consider giving more,

maybe even sacrificially? Your continued commitment

and generosity in giving to the mission of our church is

much appreciated. It offers a strong witness to the

depth of spiritual maturity among our members that

empowers our church to touch lives in the name of

Christ.

In making your year-end gifts, remember your gift

must be received in the church office or postmarked no

later than December 31, 2018; E-Giving online gifts

and gifts of stock must be initiated no later than

December 31st.

Again, thank you for your support through your

offerings and gifts.

Where Are You…

in your giving compared to

last year?
