We are already making plans for next year’s fundraiser. As you may recall, the profits go toward supporting scholarships for deserving individuals at CSUCI and many, local eighth-grade, Tech Trek girls. The event is again booked at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel Saturday, October 22, 2016. Please mark this date on your calendar, and we hope
you will be able to join us for another successful event.
Non-Fiction Book Club
Meets Tuesday, December 8
The non-fiction book club had a very interesting meeting this week. Heretic was a great choice for provoking discussion. The next meeting is Tuesday, December 8, 1:00 PM, at Eileen Rinde’s house. Secret History of the Mongol Queens by Jack Weatherford will be discussed.

Items Needed for Women’s History Presentations
Those involved with the women in history presentations are in need of a few more props. One of the props needed for our actor astronauts is a food tray. This will give the students some idea of how and what real astronauts eat in space. Do any of you have any of the following items?
1. A metal tray (approximate size needed is 12 x 15 inches) that can be put on someone’s lap 2. Old silverware (if it is smaller than standard size, that would even be better) 3. Freeze-dried food that has reached the expiration date 4. A food sealer and someone that can help us prepare the food samples.
