SPCA CHRISTMAS CAROLS BY CANDLE LIGHT AND CONCERT

Join the 2014 World Open Champions, the South Cape Children's Choir, directed by Jan-Erik Swart, in singing traditional Christmas Carols. Date: Friday 4 December 2015 Time: 18h30 Venue: Ballroom at Oubaai Hotel Golf & Spa

Entrance: Adults: R60, Children under 12 R30. Entrance fee includes a programme with words of the carols. Electronic candles for sale @ R15 per candle.

The Garden Route Harley Riders brought Christmas early to the SPCA this year. They donated R20 000 to us on Tuesday to help us with our expenses over the very busy holiday period. The Harley Club decided to dissolve itself which freed up the funds they

gave us. They will continue under the banner of the new Harley Davidson Dealership in Knysna.

Thank you so much Harley guys and girls. Ride safely...

HARLEY RIDERS GIVE THE GRSPCA AN EARLY CHRISTMAS GIFT

The 2016 calendars are finally ready and for sale at the George and Mossel Bay reception areas as well as the SPCA Home Charity Shop in George. They cost just R50 each. Please note that some of the English calendars have a “typo” on the front cover (huge apologies from Wendy). The pages inside are, however, Gremlin free! Sincere thanks to Mr Rossel from BLITSDRUK for giving us a super price and a lovely quality calendar...

URGENTLY NEEDED IN MOSSEL BAY We all know what an amazing job Gill and

Jack and a handful of volunteers are doing in the Charity Shop in Mossel Bay.

They would like to take a few days off over the holiday period and can only do this and keep the shop going if they get some new

volunteers to help out in the shop. THEY REALLY DESERVE A REST,

PLEASE OFFER UP SOME OF YOUR TIME.

SEASON OF GOODWILL – TO ALL ANIMALS

FROM THE NSPCA

South Africans are asked to be sensitive, compassionate and to exert kindness throughout the festive season with regard to animals - all animals. Compassion comes in all forms and we ask for consideration towards all creatures and the promotion of responsible behaviour. Choose activities that do not exploit animals in any way. The National Council of SPCAs and the SPCA movement operate throughout the festive season. It is the time of year when resources are stretched. Staff continue to undertake routine duties of response to information involving alleged cruelty, neglect or abuse of animals - matters which escalate at this time. There is additional response to emergencies and also the ensuring that there is provision of care to all animals. Please ensure that any animals you may have are given the best of care. Make sure their vaccinations are up to date which is a condition of reputable boarding facilities as well as a basic precaution to ensure the animals’ well-being. It is essential that their every need is catered for whether you are with them or away during this period. Also include a back-up plan in case of injury, illness or any other unforeseen eventuality.
