Special Olympics - York County Athlete

Always in our Hearts************************************************************************

-- IMPORTANTlNFORMATI-ON-ON FLOOR FfO-CKEY--PRaGRAM-·~ -~- - _.-

Unfortunately, we must suspend the Special Olympics York County floor hockey program until afterthe holidays due to lack of volunteers. Approximately 5 - 7 volunteers must come forward before theend of December in order to continue the floor hockey program in 2017.

We appreciate the few volunteers who helped at practices. But we still need MORE VOLUNTEERSinorder to have the required 1:4 ratio. We have several new athletes excited to join us but we cannotfunction with so few volunteers. Please consider giving of yourself and your time for the athlete'ssake so they may enjoy the game of floor hockey. Volunteers are needed to help athletes put on andtake off their hockey gear, assist coaches with running drills and skill assessments plus play the fungame of floor hockey!

For assistance in getting started and completing the volunteer process please email Karen & BillPlappert [email protected] or go to http://www.specialolympicspa.org/to find out more.

Volunteers are the backbone of Special Olympics and it could not exist without them.

York County the athletes are counting on YOU to step up,

Coaches Tom & Deb Wolfgang
