DECEMBER 3RD, 2017 FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT "R & R" COLLECTION TO HELP WITH RENOVATIONS OF THE POPE FRANCIS PARISH CENTER Today's Second Collection is for the ongoing "Repair and Renovation" of our Church Buildings. As we have begun the Renovation of our "Pope Francis Parish Center", the "R & R" Collections will be helping us, in addition to the funds from the Generations of Faith Campaign, to pay for the Renovation. We ask parishioners to be as generous as possible, especially those who have NOT made a 5-year pledge to the Generations of Faith Campaign, as well as those who made a pledge to the Campaign and have not been able to fulfill that promise. NOVENA IN HONOR OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE The Novena in preparation for the Feast of Our Lady of Guada- lupe will begin on Sunday, December 3rd with the children from our Catechism program leading the Rosary at 9:30am, before the 10:00am Mass. The Novena and Rosary will begin at 5:30pm on Monday, and at 6:30pm on Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30am on Sunday, Dec. 10th and 6:30pm on Monday, Dec. 11th. We are happy that a priest from the Diocese of Puebla, Mexico, Padre Francisco Javier Martinez, will be with us for the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe. FEAST OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE We will celebrate the Feast of our Lady of Guadalupe on Monday, December 11 and Tuesday 12, 2017. There will be a Mass at 7:30pm on Monday, December 11 (in Spanish) and on Tuesday, December 12 at 7:30pm. A full schedule of the Feast Day Celebration will be forth coming in the following week. CONFESSIONS IN ADVENT We will have additional opportunities to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) during the Season of Advent. On Saturdays, there will be Confessions, beginning at 7:00pm and on Sunday Mornings at 6:30am (before the 7:00am Mass) . Also, on Wednesdays, December 13th and 20th, Confessions will be available in Church from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. THE FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION On December 8th the Church celebrates the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, a Holy Day of Obligation. The Mass Schedule for the Immaculate Conception will be: Thursday, Dec. 7th (Vigil) 7:30pm - Bi-Lingual Friday, December 8th 9:00am - Bi-Lingual Friday, December 8th 7:30pm - Bi-Lingual NEWLY REGISTERED PARISHIONERS - ENVELOPES For all those who Registered as parishioners during the past three (3) weeks, we have packets of Donation Envelopes that can be picked up after Mass this weekend or at the Rectory Office during the week. THE 2017 ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL This past March, the parishioners of St. Michael's made promises (pledges) to the Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) totaling $65,524 , but thus far only $36,501 has been paid. Our Diocesan Goal is $39,425. Every dollar over that goal is returned to the parish and we can use it towards the Renovation of the Pope Francis Center. We have sent letters to the parishioners who have not yet been able to fulfill their pledge, asking that they try to do so or, if they can not give the full amount, that they try to help out in some way. We are always grateful for the generosity of our parishioners. If anyone has questions about the ACA or about their pledge, they can speak with Fr. Kevin and/or call the Rectory Office (718-768-6065). PARISH CHRISTMAS SHOW Our Parish Christmas Show will be on Sunday, December, 17th at 4:00pm in the school auditorium. Tickets will be available in the Rectory. NOVENA IN HONOR OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE

The Novena in preparation for the Feast of Our Lady of Guada-

lupe will begin on Sunday, December 3rd with the children from

our Catechism program leading the Rosary at 9:30am, before the

10:00am Mass. The Novena and Rosary will begin at 5:30pm on

Monday, and at 6:30pm on Tuesday through Saturday,

9:30am on Sunday, Dec. 10th and 6:30pm on Monday, Dec.

11th. We are happy that a priest from the Diocese of Puebla,

Mexico, Padre Francisco Javier Martinez, will be with us for the

celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

La Segunda Colecta de hoy es para la continuación de

"Reparación y Renovación" de nuestros edificios. Como hemos

comenzado la Renovación de nuestro "Centro del Papa

Francisco", las colectas "R&R" nos ayudarán, al igual que los

fondos de la Campaña Generaciones de Fe, a pagar los gastos.

Pedimos a los feligreses que sean tan generosos como sea posible,

especialmente a aquellos que NO han hecho una promesa a la

Campaña de Generaciones de Fe, así como aquellos que hicieron

una promesa a la Campaña y no han podido cumplir esa promesa.

EL 100º ANIVERSARIO DE LA ORDENACIÓN

SACERDOTAL DEL OBISPO FRANCIS XAVIER FORD

Hoy, domingo, 3 de diciembre a las 3:00 p.m. en la Co-Catedral

de San José (856 Pacific Street), el Obispo DiMarzio celebrará

una misa para conmemorar el Centenario de la Ordenación Sacer-

dotal del Obispo Francis Xavier Ford. Por favor, vea un Folleto

disponible en la Iglesia con más información sobre la Misa.

NOCHE DE REFLEXION DE ADVIENTO -6 de Diciembre

P. Gesson dirigirá una "Noche de Reflexión de Adviento" el

miércoles, 6 de diciembre, comenzando a las 7:00p.m. El tema

será "El Sacramento de la Reconciliación". La charla será a las

7:00p.m., seguida de la misa a las 8:00p.m.

CAMBIO DE HORA PARA LA MISA-martes, 6 de diciembre

La hora de la misa del martes, 6 de diciembre será a las 8:00pm,

No a las 7:30pm. Estaremos ofreciendo una noche de reflexión de

Adviento con el Padre Gesson por cual la misa se celebrará

después de este evento. Todos están invitados.

REGALOS DE NAVIDAD

Si desea ser parte de nuestros regalos de Navidad durante esta

temporada de Adviento, compre un regalo para un niño. Traiga

todos los regalos sin envolver el lunes 18 de diciembre a la igle-

sia de San Miguel o a la oficina. FAVOR NO ENVUELVA LOS

REGALOS que compre y desee donar. ¡Gracias de nuevo por su

NOVENA A NUESTRA SEÑORA DE GUADALUPE

La Novena en preparación para la Fiesta de Nuestra Señora de

Guadalupe comenzará el domingo 3 de diciembre con los niños

de nuestro programa de Catecismo dirigiendo el Rosario a las 9:30

am, antes de la misa de las 10:00am. La Novena y el Rosario

comenzarán a las 5:30p.m. el lunes, y a las 6:30p.m., martes a

sábado, a las 9:30 a.m., el domingo, 10 de diciembre, y a las

6:30p.m., el lunes, 11 de diciembre. Estamos felices de que un

sacerdote de la Diócesis de Puebla, México, el padre Francisco

Javier Martínez, estará con nosotros para la celebración de Nuestra

Señora de Guadalupe.

CELEBRACION A LA VIRGEN DE GUADALUPE

El lunes 11 y martes 12 de diciembre, celebraremos la Fiesta A

La Virgen de Guadalupe. Habrá Misa el lunes 11 de diciembre

a las 7:30pm (en Español) y el Martes 12 de diciembre a las

7:30pm (en Español).

CONFESIONES EN ADVIENTO

Tendremos oportunidades adicionales para celebrar el Sacramento

de la Reconciliación (Confesión) durante la temporada de

Adviento. Los sábados, habrá Confesiones, comenzando a las

7:00p.m. y los domingos a las 6:30a.m. (antes de la misa de las

7:00am). También, los miércoles, 13 y 20 de diciembre en la

Iglesia de 6:30p.m.-8:30p.m.

FIESTA DE LA INMACULADA CONCEPCION

El 8 de diciembre la Iglesia celebra la Fiesta de la Inmaculada

Concepción, un Santo Día de Obligación. El horario de misa para la

Inmaculada Concepción será:

miércoles, 7 de diciembre (Vigilia) 7:30 pm - Bilingüe

jueves, 8 de diciembre 9:00 am - Bilingüe

jueves, 8 de diciembre 7:30 pm - Bilingüe

FELIGRESES RECIENTEMENTE INSCRIPTOS-SOBRES

Para todos aquellos que se inscribieron como feligreses durante las

últimas tres (3) semanas, tenemos paquetes de sobres de donación

que pueden recogerse después de la Misa este fin de semana o en la

Oficina de la Rectoría durante la semana. Estos sobres son para las

semanas del 17 de diciembre al 4 de febrero de 2018. Cuando

reciba el paquete de sobres, ya no necesitará usar los sobres "azules".

Para aquellos que continúan usando los sobres azules temporales, le

pedimos que por favor escriba (claramente y exacto) el Nombre, la

Dirección y el Número de teléfono (la misma información que estaba

escrita en su Formulario de registro), para que podamos tener una

información. **Si tiene alguna pregunta sobre los sobres O, si ya

es un feligrés activo y NO ha recibido sus sobres, LLAME a la

Oficina de la Rectoría (718-768-6065) para informarnos.

LA APELACIÓN CATOLICA ANUAL 2017

El pasado mes de marzo, los feligreses de San Miguel hicieron

promesas a la Campaña Católica Anual (ACA) por un total de

$65,524, pero hasta ahora solo se han donado $36,501. Nuestra meta

diocesana es de $39,425. Cada dólar sobre ese objetivo se devuelve a

la parroquia y podemos usarlo para la Renovación del Centro Papa

Francisco. Hemos enviado cartas a los feligreses que todavía no han

podido cumplir su promesa, pidiéndoles que traten de hacerlo o, si

no pueden dar la cantidad completa, favor de ayudar de alguna ma-

nera. Siempre estamos agradecidos por la generosidad de nuestros

feligreses. Si alguien tiene preguntas sobre su compromiso, pueden

hablar con el Padre. Kevin o llame a la Rectoría (718-768-6065).
