customer service we received as far as our many questions about the sites in the Williamsburg

area and how to get around without a car - utilizing the shuttle, etc. The place was clean and as

advertised. We would camp at Anvil again."

"We like your camp ground very much. It has a good family feel. The game room and the pool are

all kids could want. Everyone in the office is very helpful and the best for us is your proximity to

Colonial Williamsburg. We don't hear the trains after the first one and we are train buffs

anyway. ... we would and do recommend your facility to all when we relate Williamsburg stories.

"Chris, our experience at Anvil was positive. The trains did not bother us, however, we were in a

class A motorhome and had the air conditioners on since it was quite warm during our stay.

Perhaps tent and pop up campers may have a problem with the trains.

Ray and Debra were most friendly and helpful. We would stay with you again without

hesitation. A very convenient location.

"We enjoyed this campground because of the friendly service, the cleanliness, and the location.

As full-timers, we stay here in the spring and the fall for a month each to visit our family and the

historic sights. There are trains, but we do not find them intrusive--we enjoy hearing and seeing

them. The laundry room and restrooms are kept clean and in good working order. If a camper

needs any help with hooking up or leveling or information, the staff is readily available and

willing to help. The sites are a little tight, but adequate. There is a little road noise, but no more

than in many place. Good place to stay... We camped here in a Fifth Wheel."

"We traveled to Williamsburg in a large motorhome from California. We found the park to be

very clean and orderly. The park is centrally located making it very easy to visit all the nearby

attractions and is also close to shopping and many restaurants. There is a train that runs

adjacent to the park but my husband and I did not find it bothersome. What made our stay here

extra special was the staff, in particular BERNICE. She greeted us upon our arrival and

throughout our stay gave us valuable information about the city, surrounding activities and

festivals, etc. We would not have gone to the Daffodil Festival in Gloucester if not for her and we

had a full day of fun there. We are full time travelers and will definitely return to Anvil

Campground on our next trip around the US! Jennie/Joe."
