The Presidential Address
Hello Members! Wow, I cannot believe it is already December! This year has flown by! Thank you so much for trusting me to lead this organization over the course of 2014. I am so excited to see what 2015 has in store for all of us! I’d especially like to thank the fantastic 2014 Board members that have done so much for this organization. You have all given countless hours of service and dedication to RESA and our local community. I cannot thank you enough for your leadership in this organization. I look forward to working with each and every one of you this year! We have a wonderful foundation set for us to continue to move this organization forward, and I’m so excited to see our progress! A big thank you to all of our members and guests who attended, participated in and donated to our November Quartermania social. We had some fantastic items that were auctioned off. By the end of the night we raised $1680 that will be donated to the KMC Angel Trees. Families in the KMC area will be enjoying a bit of a merrier Christmas this year because of your generosity! I look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming ‘Denim and Diamonds’ Holiday Party and Installation Ceremony. We all know RESA knows how to throw a party, and this one will be no exception! We here at RESA have always valued our volunteers. Aside from the regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly events noted in the calendar, we would love to hear from our membership of any local
organizations or events in which RESA can participate. Contact any member of the board at the next social or send an email to [email protected] for further discussion.
Did you Know? • Volunteers receive quarterly recognition in the
form of BX gift cards based on the amount of hours donated:
Up to 10 hrs = $5 Min 60 hrs = $50 Min 15 hrs = $10 Min 75 hrs = $62.50 Min 30 hrs = $25 Min 90 hrs = $75 Min 45 hrs = $37.50 *Max $150 • For every hour you volunteer in the RESA
Thrift Shop, you earn one Thrift Shop Buck that can be used toward your next RESA Thrift Shop purchase.
• Childcare reimbursement is available to members while attending volunteer functions. Reimbursements are based off the current childcare rates at the Ramstein CDC.
• In lieu of being paid, another RESA member may elect to earn volunteer hours watching the children of a RESA member who is volunteering for an event that childcare would otherwise be reimbursable for at the rate of one hour per child, per hour watched.
• Committee chairs (lemonade stand, gift wrapping, etc.) receive gift cards in amounts specified in the By-Laws.
• Travel to and from volunteer events (up to 15 minutes each way) count toward your volunteer hours.

Janine was a HUGE help with getting pictures taken for all of the wonderful items for Quartermania
& helped behind the scenes the whole month! She also took a lot of time away from family to set up the Christmas Wrapping Booths at the
BX for local Squadrons to raise money for their Booster Clubs.

The RESA Thrift Shop is owned and operated by RESA. Earnings from the Thrift Shop provide funding for all events and donations.
