To Whom It May Concern:

I gladly write this letter of recommendation for Nicole Souza and her numerous accomplishments as a Communications Intern specializing in external communications for EMD Millipore during the summer of 2015. As the Global Communications Business Partner, External Communications for EMD Millipore I had the distinct pleasure of working with and overseeing Nicole on a variety of communications initiatives for the three months she interned at our organization. When Nicole joined us, she quickly exceeded our expectations by completing new and challenging projects at a professional level.

Nicole’s passion for understanding the communications industry and public relations is evident in her work. She helped develop the basis of a corporate online media kit for EMD Millipore, a first of its kind. Nicole completed this arduous task by conducting in depth competitive research on industry related companies. Her research is extremely comprehensive and our team will surely use it for future development. Once her research was completed she then made recommendations on the way our team should move forward in developing our online media kit with regards to web layout, documents to include and multimedia options.

Nicole is unique in that she not only has a great know-how to contribute on a variety of projects, but she also learned quickly and took it upon herself to research industry topics and areas of the business which she was unfamiliar with knowing it would help her to become a bigger contributor in our group.

Additionally, Nicole demonstrated professionalism and respect by timely submitting her projects and communicating clearly in meetings. Currently, Nicole is finishing her degree in Communications with several concentrations and minors. One of her concentrations is in sports communications. As someone who spent a great deal of time in the global marketing department of a globally recognized athletic brand I 100% feel that Nicole has the unyielding energy, enthusiasm and intellect it takes to excel at a global lifestyle brand or any fast paced corporate environment.

I therefore strongly recommend Nicole for a future communications related role. I have no doubt in my mind that Nicole’s diverse background has prepared her for a successful career. Her passion for learning will make her as valuable in the classroom as she will be in the professional world. I am confident she will be a strong asset to any organization.
