A Legacy of Christian Values Reaching to Eternity September 2013 Volume 1, Issue 9 Delano Bay Christian Camp Thank You! Again, we want to thank all our directors, counselors, teachers, nurses, cooks, dishwashers and other camp staff members who volunteered to serve out here at camp this summer. It takes a lot of sacrifice & hard work and it is appreciated! A very special thanks to Michaela Oden who designed and painted new signs for our five seaside cabins. Job well done Michaela! DBCC Really Needs You! DBCC has several work projects planned, but we can’t do it without your volunteer assistance and generous giving! Please watch for winter work parties, and if you are able, put a few extra dollars in the mail for Delano! We are still in need of picture frames to hang more camp pic- tures, new brooms, & a small chain saw. Summer 2013 - 3rd & 4th, 7th & 8th, and 5th & 6th Here are a few pictures from the rest of our summer camps! The theme for our 3rd & 4th grade camp was “Jesus is the Light.” 7th & 8th continued with the “Press Play” theme. If you had a 7th or 8th grader at camp you need to ask them about Ben Cook’s “petty despotic“ rules and the resulting consequences when campers broke those rules! 5th & 6th grade had fun with the theme “Victories of Faith.”
