This part of EN 1559 is not applicable to metallic castings for further reprocessing such as forging ingots and continuously cast billets and blooms. NOTE 1: Technical delivery conditions for copper alloy castings are

specified in EN 1982. NOTE 2: Additional technical delivery condition requirements which are specific to particular materials are specified in the following parts of this standard series: EN 1559-2 for cast steel; EN 1559-3 for cast iron; EN 1559-4 for cast aluminium; EN 1559-5 for cast magnesium; EN 1559-6 for cast zinc.

    4. Title Quantitative surface test for the evaluation of residual antimicrobial (bactericidal and/or yeasticidal) efficacy of liquid chemical disinfectants on hard non-porous surfaces. Test method

    5. Scope This PAS specifies a test method for residual bactericidal and/or yeasticidal activity of liquid, chemical disinfectant products that are applied to hard, non-porous surfaces which are likely to undergo abrasive action. The method described is intended to determine the activity of commercial formulations or active substances under the conditions in which they are used in accordance with BS EN 13697:2001.

It has been designed as an extension of BS EN 13697:2001 and is intended to be used in conjunction with this recognized standard allowing BS EN 13697:2001 to assess the initial antimicrobial action of a product and PAS 2424 to assess the residual antimicrobial action. Therefore the results from this PAS will only be considered if the product tested also achieves a pass according to BS EN 13697:2001 (≥4 log reduction) under conditions required for the test product’s application of use (e.g. specified contact times, micro-organisms, organic load, etc.).

It is applicable to ready-to-use products or dilute-to-use products that form a homogeneous, physically stable preparation when diluted with hard water.

It is applicable to products that are used in areas that are covered in BS EN 13697:2001. This includes but is not limited to hard surfaces in the food industry, institutional areas such as schools, hospitals and nursing homes, in the workplace and in the home/domestic environment.

It is not applicable to thickened or viscous products such as toilet bleaches or gels, wash-off products and products that are permanently bound to a surface.

This PAS is designed for laboratories that perform antimicrobial testing in order to test the residual antimicrobial properties of liquid, chemical disinfectant products.

NOTE 1 The sticky nature of thickened products and gels make the abrasion regime difficult to perform and therefore could lead to unreliable results. NOTE 2 The testing of wash-off products would require a method with the inclusion of a rinsing step. NOTE 3 Intrinsically antimicrobial surfaces are designed to remain active for longer than the 24 h covered in this test method.

    CEN/TC 442 - Building Information Modelling (BIM)

    4. Title Information container for data drop (ICDD)

    5. Scope This is a proposal to develop ISO/NP 21597 Information container for data drop (ICDD) in parallel in ISO and CEN under the Vienna Agreement.

This proposed ISO standard provides a data exchange and storage mechanism by means of a container or envelope for BIM related data/information which can be represented using multiple existing ISO-IEC standards.

The standard provides a semantic model comprising a small core information model which can be extended with reference information models and object libraries for specific domains. Further support is provided for meta data notation and version management of exchanged data.

The standard provides functionality to integrate data structures which are a combination of RDF formatted, non geometric data structures and standardized geometric data structures like IFC and GML by deep linking to data structures of these types, object type libraries and non structured documents.

Doing so, the standard enables data drop as one information package with multiple data formats.

By using the mechanism of extensions with reference models, support can be added for various methods of version management including PLCS. Together with object type libraries, it offers capabilities to exchange data defined by information models that cover Systems Engineering, BIM, GIS and Life Cycle information management.

The elaboration of this standard will harvest the work done on COINS in NL and will include the existing examples of it.

The intended users and implementers of this standard includes software vendors and IT individuals, working in the field of buildings and infrastructure assets, offering software for procurement, design, construction, delivery, operation and maintenance. It also includes suppliers of project hotels and asset management databases.

    6. Environmental aspects

None of the above: This proposed standard provides a data exchange and storage mechanism for BIM related data/information, and will not influence on environmental aspects.

Document developed in drafting bodyQuantitative surface test for the evaluation of residual antimicrobial (bactericidal and/or yeasticidal) efficacy of liquid chemical disinfectants on hard non-porous surfaces. Test method4. TitleThis PAS specifies a test method for residual bactericidal and/or yeasticidal activity of liquid, chemical disinfectant products that are applied to hard, non-porous surfaces which are likely to undergo abrasive action. The method described is intended to determine the activity of commercial formulations or active substances under the conditions in which they are used in accordance with BS EN 13697:2001.5. ScopeIt has been designed as an extension of BS EN 13697:2001 and is intended to be used in conjunction with this recognized standard allowing BS EN 13697:2001 to assess the initial antimicrobial action of a product and PAS 2424 to assess the residual antimicrobial action. Therefore the results from this PAS will only be considered if the product tested also achieves a pass according to BS EN 13697:2001 (≥4 log reduction) under conditions required for the test product’s application of use (e.g. specified contact times, micro-organisms, organic load, etc.).It is applicable to ready-to-use products or dilute-to-use products that form a homogeneous, physically stable preparation when diluted with hard water. This PAS is designed for laboratories that perform antimicrobial testing in order to test the residual antimicrobial properties of liquid, chemical disinfectant products.NOTE 1 The sticky nature of thickened products and gels make the abrasion regime difficult to perform and therefore could lead to unreliable results.NOTE 2 The testing of wash-off products would require a method with the inclusion of a rinsing step.NOTE 3 Intrinsically antimicrobial surfaces are designed to remain active for longer than the 24 h covered in this test method.Discharges to soilEmissions to airUse of materialsUse of waterDischarges to waterWaste6.
