1Lemongrass-infused mineral water face cold spray

An aerosol spray that can be refrigerated & used in the morning a refreshing, aromatic face cooler

The challenge requires something specific to morning (awakening) that is ‘natural’ relatively inexpensive, and enables enjoyment of personal morning ‘body care’ time.

In my challenge, the target ‘state’ is refreshment, enjoyment of personal time in the morning, with a sensory method of improving the feeling of well- being.

The ‘analogy’ I used is the idea of a morning shower under a water-fall – refreshing, connected with nature and healthy, as well as awakening and sensual.

I especially used the substitute element of SCAMPER, to substitute an ‘ideal’ event (a shower under a waterfall) with a possible one (a refrigerated, scented, water-based aerosol).

2A cleanser that matches the same experience as Idea 1

A cleanser based on witchhazel infused with lemongrass and basil leaves.

The challenge requires something specific to morning (awakening) that is ‘natural’ relatively inexpensive, and enables enjoyment of personal morning ‘body care’ time (as for idea 1).

In my challenge, the target ‘state’ is refreshment, enjoyment of personal time in the morning, with a sensory method of improving the feeling of well- being (as for Idea 1).

The ‘analogy’ I used for idea 2 is the use of flowers (imagery) to create the sense of an ‘aromatic’ and holistic cleansing process – that is a cleaning of the skin, associated with a cleaning of mental and emotional state.

I especially used the modify and combine elements of SCAMPER, to build on idea one (the refresher) with a cleanser that follows, and builds on the same aromatic theme.

3Lemongrass, basil leaf and shea butter moisturiser.

A moisturiser that completes the morning ritual cycle, building on idea 1 & 2.

The challenge requires something specific to morning (awakening) that is ‘natural’ relatively inexpensive, and enables enjoyment of personal morning ‘body care’ time. Idea 3 completes a product ‘range’ based on idea 1 &

In my challenge, the target ‘state’ is refreshment, enjoyment of personal time in the morning, with a sensory method of improving the feeling of well- being.

The ‘analogy’ I used for idea 3 is the idea of ‘enrichment’ based on ‘butter’ - this contrasts with the ideas of refreshing and cleansing for ideas 1 & 2.

I especially used the modify and combine elements of SCAMPER, to builds on the same aromatic series (lemongrass – refresh, basil/witchhazel – cleanse, shea butter –moisturise) to create a more extensive and complete range of products.
