There are numbers of failures and hurdles, you must pass through before you achieve something worthwhile in life. The only undying quality imbibed in every successful man is the quality of perseverance. It is this quality which makes even seemingly impossible task possible. There is an apt saying that "Fire is the test of Gold and Adversity is the test of Man". The key to success in any field is perseverance, industriousness and single-minded effort to achieve the Goal. Success is like a ladder where you must climb step by step and do a lot of hard work to reach the top. You must pass through many difficulties and hurdles but the fruits will always be 100% sweet. You should not lose heart when you fail in any endeavor. Despite the setback, if you continue to work hard sincerely and in the right direction with team spirit, you will surely achieve the set Goal. Perseverance is an attitude of persisting one single idea, discipline, ideal, rules to achieve success, to achieve a goal- despite facing several difficulties, obstructions, hurdles, failures etc. It is the ability to go on when things seem hopeless.. As students, it is impossible to achieve personal success without having a goal, or direction. The goal and direction that often propels us to achieve is perseverance. Perseverance is the ability to forge ahead despite setbacks that threaten to undermine all efforts to succeed. Perseverance is a very important and positive character trait in someone's life. It means having a steady persistence despite the difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement. A successful person is not afraid to do his best to what are small jobs. If all the little jobs are done well, the big ones seem much easier to accomplish. A person must always have faith and hope in himself. Being optimistic and having self-confidence help to reach your goals and purposes. Think about what you can do, not what you can't do. It also helps to learn from your mistakes and the mistakes of others. A person should have a good role model who has a huge effect on someone's life in a positive way, a good role model having good characters like always striving for excellence and success. Don't quit. Success arrives for every person who perseveres and follows his dreams. Have patience with all things, but most importantly have patience with yourself. Don't lose courage in your negatives, but think about improving them. You should find a way to accomplish a goal, or you must make one. You must wake up with determination if you want to go to sleep with satisfaction. When you start a task, it is always too soon to quit. Every little step gets you closer to your goal but only if you decide to work upon it! Delhi Public School Ghaziabad RASHMI PRAKASH Sushant Lok

The students of class III conducted the morning assembly on Ganesh Chaturthi. The assembly began with a Ganesh Shloka followed by a short informative skit telling the reason why Ganesh, the son of Lord Shiva and his consort Goddess Parvati; came to have the head of an elephant on a human body. The elephant symbolizes strength, wisdom, and longevity. The performance also highlighted the wisdom of lord Ganesh.

Children brought out eco-friendly ways of celebrating this festival. These included banning the use of Plaster of Paris idols and their immersion in lakes, rivers or ponds and avoiding loud blaring music and too much of lighting etc.

A special assembly was conducted on occasion of 'Raksha Bandhan' by students of Class IX. It commenced by invoking the blessings of Lord with a prayer by Dev and class choir. Yashvardhan and Ayushi, the two comperes for the day spoke about the significance of the festival which is being celebrated to symbolize the sister's love and prayers for her brother's well-being, and the brother's lifelong vow to protect her.

GLITZ AND SPARKLES OF INDIA

'Freedom of mind is the real freedom. A person whose mind is not free although he may not be in chains is a slave, not a free man. One whose mind is not free, although he may not be in prison is a prisoner, not a free man. One whose mind is not free though alive is no better than dead. Freedom of mind is the proof of one's existence.'- BR Ambedkar.

In agreement to the above quote, DPSG SL strives to bring the best in every child to attain an all-round development by polishing their areas of interest and help them to come up as independent and responsible future citizens of the nation.

Our objective here is not limited to the distribution of facts and information to students, but to work on their personalities and inculcate the habit of critically thinking and analyzing the situation in their daily life, with their parents, peers, and teachers to develop a sense of taking decisions which are independent and free from any influences. Keeping the needs of young learners in mind, we work here as facilitators, allowing our students to learn in their own manner by providing them with a conducive learning environment, so that our future citizens are ready to face the world and can contribute effectively to the society.
