  • Mobile Library Visit

    Date: 01/02/2019

    Day: Friday

    Venue: P.V. Daulatpur.

    Objective: Learning Mathematics with activities.

    Today our mobile Library visited P.V Daulatpur. We took several learning- aids with us like

    “Ganit Mala”, “Rangometri” and “Akar Parivar”. First we familiarized kids with aforesaid

    learning- aids. With the help of Ganit Mala our revered maths teacher Ms. Rashi encouraged

    kids to count the numbers in simple and easy manner. She also taught them how to calculate the

    place values of more than two or three digit numbers with the help of Ganit Mala. She taught

    about different types of shapes and how to do addition and subtraction with the help of

    Rangometri and Akar Parivar. Overall, students enjoyed the whole session and were looking

    forward to such more sessions.

  • Basant Panchami Celebration

    The students of the pre-primary wing of the school celebrated Basant Panchami, “Basant

    Panchami” is an occasion which marks the advent of the spring season and is also celebrated

    to worship Ma Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. This day was celebrated in

    our school with great fervour and enthusiasm. Yellow colour – representative of spiritual

    knowledge, is given importance on Basant Panchami. Principal sir addressed the students and

    explained the significance of this day. The children of the pre–primary wing offered yellow

    coloured flowers to the Goddess. The dress code of the teachers on that day was also yellow.

    The whole pre-primary wing assembled together to pray and attain blessings from Goddess

    Saraswati to reach the epitome of knowledge. The celebration started with a beautiful

    Saraswati Vandana and after that students were taken to visit mustard fields where they enjoyed

    the beautiful sightings of bright yellow flowers. Exuberance and gratitude radiated from their

    faces as they thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

  • Essay Comoetition on ‘WOMEN EMPOWERMENT’

    „A woman with a voice is, by definition, a strong woman‟ --Melinda Gates.

    The essence of the aforesaid line is visible in every essay of the students of DELHI PUBLIC

    SCHOOL FIROZABAD in the Essay Competition on „WOMEN EMPOWERMENT‟ titled as

    „APARAJITA‟ organized by the renowned daily, Amar Ujala. This competition was held on 8th

    February, 2019 where girl students from class V to VIII took part very enthusiastically. The

    Winner‟s Trophy went to Ms. Anushka Chaturvedi of Class VIII. Certificates were distributed to

    the top 5 students of the competition from the school. Such competitions help students grow the

    confidence, improve writing capability and ability to express themselves.

  • Report on visit of junior wing of DPS firozabad to Sashkiya Prathamik Vidyalaya, Daulatpur

    OBJECTIVE: To inculcate social sensitization among young learners.

    "Good relationships are made up of positive shared experiences, which become cherished

    memories over time."

    Today our team visited Sashkiya Prathamik Vidyalaya, Daulatpur, with some tiny tots from

    Junior Wing of our school. The team consisted of junior coordinator Miss Jai shri, Librarian

    Mr. Laeeque Ahmad and some kids of junior classes. The purpose of that visit aimed to share

    happiness with the students of Primary School Daulatpur, and to inculcate the meaning of

    social sensitization in the hearts of young learners. During the visit, our kids shared their

    usable things like toys, books, colors and other stationary items with the kids of that school

    happily. The students very enthusiastically did recitation as the activity of fun and enjoyment.

    All the kids interacted with each other very cheerfully and the drive turned out to be a success. “Life is beautiful, live it to the full, Love is abundance, share it with your friends”.

  • Special Assembly on National Symbols

    Theme of assembly – National Symbols

    Message-To make the students aware about the National Symbols.

    Little scholars of Class UKG conducted their Special Assembly on National Symbols. The main

    purpose of this assembly was to acquaint them with our National Symbols. Assembly started in

    a disciplined manner. Students held the cutouts of different National Symbols (Tricolor,

    National song, National Fruit, National Tree, National Bird, National Animal, National Sport,

    National flower, National Emblem ) in their hands and spoke about them. Pre Assembly

    Activity- To enhance the concept, kids did integrated pre assembly activities .They made

    National Symbols like Lotus, National Flag, Banyan Tree, Mango etc., with the help of JODO

    GYAN‟S Aakar Pariwar, Jodo Blocks and Clay Dough. At the end of the assembly, Principal Sir appreciated their efforts with his motivational words.

  • Mobile Library Visit

    “Teaching should be such that what is offered is perceived as a valuable gift and not as a

    Today our mobile library visited primary school Daulatpur with full enthusiasm. Our admired

    senior coordinator Ms. Suman Rathore went with Librarian Mr. Laeeque Ahmad to give

    demonstration about some of the common apparatus use in science laboratory. We carried

    Apparatus like Newton‟s disc, spring balance, Magnates, Kaleidoscope, Climbing tortoise and

    two chemicals namely, vinegar and baking soda as well. First we familiarized kids with all the

    apparatus one by one and then demonstrated the use of them. With the guidance of our Science

    teacher, students were able to see all the seven colors of sunlight using a Newton‟s disc.She

    explained how to use a spring balance to measure small things as well, how a magnet works

    and the various properties of magnet. What are the uses of kaleidoscope and how the climbing

    tortoise explains the third law of Newton. Ma‟am also demonstrated the reaction which takes

    place when we mix some amount of baking soda with vinegar.The session was quite informative

    and kids enjoyed the session.

  • Report on Sant Ravidas Jayanti

    Sant Ravidas Jayanti was celebrated with great devotion and fervour at DPS Firozabad on

    Tuesday, 19.02.19. The event started with lamp lightening by teachers and students Teacher

    Mr. Sahab Singh shared the views of Guru Ravidas ji about on harmony, equality and

    compassion, which are central to India‟s culture and ethos as well. The Principal made

    students aware about Sant Ravidas, who was a renowned bhakti movement saint and poet of

    who lived during the period of Sant Kabir.

  • Special Assembly on Hard Work

    “A dream doesn‟t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard

    work.” -Colin Powell

    A special assembly was conducted in the premises of Delhi Public School, Firozabad by the

    students of class I, on „Hard work‟. The phrase “Hard work” in simple terms, relates to doing

    any task with full honesty and dedication, learning from past mistakes and not giving up, till we

    reach our goal. The students of class I presented a skit in which a girl managed to achieve her

    dreams by fighting all odds and with continuous hard work. The students also highlighted upon

    the efforts and hard work, the parents do for a child, in order to bring happiness and joy in

    their life. To conclude the assembly, Principal, Dr. Gaurav Dubey appreciated the effort of the

    students and the class teacher and further emphasized on the importance of hard work in a

    student‟s life be it in academics, in sports or in any other sphere.

    Summing up, the assembly motivated the students and everyone felt that it was a learning

    experience for all.

  • Special Assembly on ‘Punctuality’

    “Know the tree value of time; snatch, seize and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness no

    delay, never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.”

    Lord Chesterfield to inculcate the value and importance of being punctual, a value assembly on

    „Punctuality‟ was conducted by class 2 on Tuesday February 26, 2019. The assembly started

    with a morning prayers followed by thought for the day presented by Lakshit Saraswat. A group

    of students explained the meaning of punctuality as being on time and not being late, further

    elaborated upon by stating the 3P‟s of punctuality- plan, Prioritize and prepare children also

    presented a lovely dance on a song “Time”. All the students took pledge to be punctual. The

    Principal addressed children on how they can achieve Punctuality by being organized, upbeat

    and prompt in their daily lives. The assembly was summed up with National Anthem.

  • Celebration of Grand Parents Day

    Grandparents are spontaneous shower of blessings who pamper a child more than the parents

    do. They give wings to young personalities to never limit their horizons. Today, DPS,

    Firozabad‟s little chirpy birds showcased an alley of talent to compliment their emotional cult

    for their Grandparents. Teachers and students, left no stone unturned to make the `We Care`

    event a memorable and a nostalgic one. Children were more than happy to present peppy dance

    numbers and their performances touched the hearts of all present. Grandparents most

    enthusiastically participated in the fun-games organized by the teachers and the smiles on their

    faces was a proof of their sense of love and belongingness. A pompous show consisted of

    dances, poems, chairs and interaction tickled every bone. Children`s lovely attires and fabulous

    stage presentations amazed everyone and ensured energy while building a bridge between two

    generations .This gala time engrossed the importance of the bond between grannies and

    grandpas with their grandchildren The principal Dr. Gaurav Dubey thanked all grandparents

    to encourage the young hearts with their presence and blessings.

  • Graduation Ceremony

    DPS Firozabad organized Graduation ceremony for the young and enthusiastic learners of pre-

    primary on March 16, 2019. The celebration commenced on with the “sow and grow” welcome

    of the esteemed director Sirs, by school principal Dr GauravDubey. It was followed by lamp

    lightening and Saraswati vandana to evoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. Principal ,in

    his address ,highlighted the vision of the school and role of parents and teachers in the

    students‟s learning process. Parent representatives expressed their gratitude towards the

    school and the teachers in instilling self- esteem in their children through varied spectrum of

    activities.Two power point presentations were explained well covering the “Journey already

    travelled” by students in their pre -primary classes and “journey ahead” which will be

    travelled by the students in the coming year.The most important part of the day – Graduation

    ceremony was the tiny tots dressed in graduation robes and caps walking on the stage. The

    principal and director sir felicitated the students with the certificates and documents.The

    programme concluded with the vote of thanks and an energetic Zumba dance performance by

    our young learners. It was indeed a joyous and memorable day for little ones, as they received

    their graduation certificates.

  • Orientation Program

    “A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the center

    of our universe.”

    The foundation of a good parent teacher relationship is frequent and open communication,

    mutual consensus and respect and a precise understanding of what is best for each individual

    child. With this foregoing, DPS Firozabad organized an Orientation and Induction Programme

    for the academic session 2019-2020, on March 29, for the parents of incoming toddlers of

    classes Nursery - UKG. The programme commenced with a warm and heartfelt welcome to the

    parents followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana . The Principal

    Dr. Gaurav Dubey then addressed the gathering and took them through the vision and

    philosophy of the school by means of a Power Point Presentation. A brief jist about the DPS

    Society followed by an insight of DPS Firozabad. The aim was to familiarize the parents as

    “Partners in Progress” with the curriculum, rules and regulations, teaching methodologies,

    assessment schedule, USP of DPS Firozabad and the co-scholastic activities. He also gave

    guidelines for positive parenting and the plethora of teachers gave an overview of their subjects

    and integrated activities. This assured the parents that the curriculum involves self-directed,

    hands-on learning activities which not only hones their creative talents and energies but also

    aids in the all round development of their child. They were provided with a sumptuous

    refreshment. Overall, it was a fruitful meeting and the parents were in high-spirits after

    attending the programme.
