Meeting our customers’ needsAs a long-term supplier of primary aluminium, we supply our customers with the following products, largely destined for the automotive, building and construction, and packaging markets:

• Rolling slab: Our partnership approach with world-leading flat rolled product converters drives continuous improvement and sustainable best practices.

• Extrusion billet: The quality and innovation of our billet products make them ideal for performance critical and complex engineering applications.

• Foundry (ingot and T-bar): We are meeting the social and environmental challenges for light weight transport solutions through advanced alloy compositions.

• Rod and EC grade ingot: We offer the widest range of products for electrical and mechanical applications.

• High-purity ingot (up to P0101): Rio Tinto Alcan is the premier supplier of high purity products for high-end electronic and aerospace manufacturers.

• Busbars and metal matrix composites: We offer these niche products for specialized applications.

• Remelt ingot and molten metal: We have a network of primary production smelters and logistic partners that offer flexible and efficient remelt supply.

We are widely recognized for product quality, delivery performance, technical expertise, R&D capability and customer service. Offering more than 2,000 alloys, and a full range of dimensions and logistics solutions, we work closely with our customers to meet their product needs. We help customers optimise the use of our products to reduce their costs and their environmental footprint.
