EU funding to the third sector• 319 third sector organisations accessed £251m of
European funding during 2000-2006
• Over £105m of EU funds have been committed to 38 projects led by the third sector under the 2007-2013 programmes
• In addition, third sector organisations have won over £77m worth of contracts under the 2007-2013 programmes
Engagement Gateway and ILM• Set up to enable small organisations to contribute to
the programmes• A flexible approach to achieving outcomes and an
opportunity for innovation • To contract with organisations that engage with
economically inactive people and prepare them for sustainable employment
• To make a significant contribution to raising levels of employment and reducing economic inactivity in Wales
Progress: Gateway
• 512 contracts/grants awarded to over 300 organisations
• 2,300 people will entered employment• 19,000 people will achieved positive
outcomes• 11,000 people will achieved

• 67 contracts/grants awarded to over 35 organisations
• 1,142 people have entered employment
• 1,853 people have achieved qualifications (5,161 qualifications in total)
