Along with the start of 3G mobile phone service, itsapplication range is extended beyond browserphone function represented by i-mode service.For instance, data communications between laptopPC, PDA or image input devices such as digitalcamera and mobile communication terminals, orelse, telemetering, the system to remotely controlvending machines, meters, security devices andpets with built-in or mounted mobile communicationfunction. The evolution of such services givesgreater importance to data communicationfunctions. Thus, the tests for these systems aremore focused on.

The MX882051A-02 W-CDMA External PacketData achieves the data transfer function withexternal devices via Ethernet port of MT8820A. TheExternal Packet Data function is carried out byinstalling this software option in the MT8820Aincorporating the MX882000B W-CDMAMeasurement Software and MX882051A W-CDMACall Processing Software.

1.Check the Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) BOX. 2. Dial after set up following. User Name: PPP_CLIENT Password: MT8820A Dial: **99**2#

3.Startup the command prompt(DOS) both server PC and client PC.

Command the following and confirm the connection.

>ping 1.3.9.11(Client PC)

>ping 1.3.9.10(Server PC)

FTP server software is required by FTP demonstration.

It is illustrate how to demonstrate using “Tiny FTP Daemon Ver0.52d” on thisdocument.The software is free of charge,but it has Japanese language versiononly.So,find the “FTP server software” which is used yours native land language.A fundamental procedure is unchanged even when software is different.

Procedure1. Download “FTP server software” to Server PC.

2. Requirement condition is indicated following.

User Name:PPP_CLIENT

Password:MT8820A

Other setting depends on each “FTP server software”

4. How to log-in to FTP Server.

On Command Prompt(DOS)

>ftp 1.3.9.11 --> User(1.3.9.11:(none)):PPP_CLIENT --> Password:MT8820A

5. After log-in succeedftp> binaryftp> get test.doc --> “test.doc” is sent to Client PC.(You should prepare thesample file on Server PC.)Also,the received file goes into the directory ofClient PC in log-in.ftp> put testmode.doc --> “testmode.doc” is sent to Sever PC. (You shouldprepare the sample file on Client PC.)Also, the sent file goes into the directoryof Server PC.It depends on setting of “FTP server software”

6. Confirm the received file on Client PC and the sent file on Server PC.

7. ftp>bye --> Log-out

1. Push the Start Call Key of MT8820A(1) after registration ofUE1.

2. Originate from UE(2).(TEL No. : I.e. 1111)

3. Terminate from UE(1).

4. Confirm the picture by using both UE(1)(2).

5. Disconnect form UE(1) or UE(2)
