Demystifying Technology This chapter of the book the author tried to describe how conventional copy processing developed through the use of new technology. This chapter was broken down into four parts. The first one describes conventional copy processing, how it emerged and the advantages and disadvantages it offers. What follows next is the front-end technologies that are present nowadays which can be used as replacement for the conventional copy processing. In connection with the second one, the third one gives an overview of the needs of a computerized copy processing. And lastly, the cost of computerization in terms of the workers and managers are given descriptions. Conventional Copy Processing A brief history about how copy processing is done was described by the author. He also enumerated the disadvantages of this. At the latter part he then connected the conventional copy procession to computerization and how it would advantageous to adapt computers.
