To the shareholders:
2013 was a very good year for Gana-A’Yoo, Limited. We ex-perienced growth in pretty much all aspects of our company. We continued to maintain our company in keep-ing up with the growing pains of this growth as well. We made sure that we kept pace with new hires. We also made sure that we main-tained our corporate veil to pro-
tect our company as we grow and are looking for new oppor-tunities. The board of directors made sure that we do not have
any liabilities that could stop our company on the present
path that we have set for the future. Please feel
free to contact any of us if you have any questions or con-cerns.
I would like to wish you all a Happy New
Year. Michael Stickman, Board Chairman

Our Journey Our Journey by
Sharon Hildebrand
Growing up playing along the banks of the Yukon River, a child does not see themselves in the bigger picture of
things until much older, right? Well I was one of those children who grew up along the Yukon raised by my grandmother Ellen, going to fish camps in the summer and helping to haul water and pack wood in the winters. These experiences taught me values early on that remain today.
I, like many who leave the village, at-tempted early on to attend college, but as a young single mother who was on assis-tance, often felt not good enough, I did not see past how I was going to get through the month, better yet, four years for that matter (for my degree). I did
what I thought was best, I dropped out of college and began my career slowly build-ing my resume through office work. I believed all this to be done for my son. That is until I had two more sons and be-gan to encourage them to go on and get an education, I realized I too needed to back my words. The thought of an edu-cation slowly began to creep back into my mind and one day, I had a conversation with my mentor, Bernice Joseph and she told me, “You need to think five years down the line and then ten years, you can’t just think of tomorrow or next year.”
The road to receiving an education is not one accomplished through individual ef-fort. This road to receiving my bachelors degree was one that had much support along the way. Just as I questioned myself if I was doing the right thing, a friend or family member would step in at the last
minute to watch my sons when I was called upon on to attend seminars. It was my family and my friends who would pull for me. My husband Vern was the first to encourage me to follow my dreams and would often pick up where I left off with the housework while I wrote papers and studied. It was here with my husband that we shared a conversation of my dreams and it was then that I also stopped drink-ing alcohol.
Our journeys through life is not finite, it is always moving and changing. It is in cherishing those who have helped us to see the bigger picture, shared their love or just to encourage others to keep going. As that young girl who once ran the banks of the river remembers she had something worth sharing, may you all know, you pos-sess this awesome light within you. Reach in and find what your dreams hold. May you share your light, God Bless.
