ABOUT DEPARTMENT:

Department of Commerce is one of the departments of the centre working since its

inception. The department offers two years master‟s degree in commerce with an objective of

providing quality education to equip the students with employable skills to meet globalized

business environment. Initially the department was started with 60 students and now it

reached 120 students. The department has produced good number of Post Graduates in that

many of the students cleared NET,K-set, JRF and also recruited for various Posts in

Karnataka Government and also so many of them are recruited in Multinational Companies

as well reputed institutions. Dr. Kumarswamy M and Dr. Thimmarayappa R has guided and

supported for the development of the department. Since 2012 the department guided by Prof.

Shivabasavaiah has been working for the development of students.
