The DCNR grant program combines several funding sources into one. Funding comes from:

outreach and communication; and facilitate the activities of the Main Line Canal Greenway Alliance

including the development of boating access areas in Mount Union and Mapleton boroughs, Huntingdon

National Road Heritage Corridor, $138,000 from ESF, to coordinate and manage the construction of the

Sheepskin Trail; assist in the implementation of the Laurel Highlands Interpretive Plan; implement

recommendations of the “Structural Analysis, Design Guide and Marketing Prospectus” in Brownsville’s

historic commercial district; research and identify vacant parcels along the National Road corridor for

possible acquisition; and pilot a cooperative purchasing program focused on supplying sustainable and
