REGIONAL CAPABILITY BUILDING FOR RATERS ON THE NEXT 12 PPST INDICATORS OF THE RPMS FOR SY 2020-2021

TO: Schools Division Superintendents

1. This has reference to DM-PHRODFO-2019-00836 re Regional Capability Building for Raters on the Next 12 PPST Indicators of the RPMS for SY 2020-2021. The

Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development Human Resource Development Division (BHROD-HRDD) in partnership with Philippine National

Research Center for Teacher Quality (RCTQ) reinforces the strategic implementation

plan of RPMS-PPST of the Department of Education through a Regional Capability Building on March 17-21, 2020 at National Educators Academy of the

Philippines (NEAP R-XII), Quirino Avenue, General Santos City.

2. This effort aims to ensure that the raters are able to effectively evaluate and support teacher’s performance and development. The raters refer to the School

Heads (e.g. Principals, Teachers-in-Charge), Assistant Principals, Head Teachers,

and/or Master Teachers who rate teacher portfolios to assess teacher performance.

3. Specifically, the participants to this training workshop are expected to: a. demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the Classroom Observable

indicators of the RPMS-PPST; b. analyze links and significance of classroom observation notes and COT

rubric rating; c. apply appropriate knowledge, competencies and pedagogies to clarify

concerns in appreciating MOVs and rating portfolio; and

d. explore and model for rollout of RPMS-PPST

4. The participants to this activity have been identified by the schools division office through the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent. Please refer to

Enclosure 1: List of Participants to the Regional Capability Building for Raters on the Next 12 PPST Indicators of the RPMS for SY 2020-2021. Participants are encouraged

to enroll or confirm their attendance through the link:

5. The regional training shall last for a total of three (3) days exclusive of travel

time, and shall follow the same format. For the detailed program of activities, please see Enclosure 2: PROGRAM

6. The ingress and travel time shall be on Day 0 (Check-in time is at 2:00 pm onwards). Dinner shall be the first provision of meals on Day 0. The egress shall be

on Day 4 (Check-out time is at 12:00 Noon). Breakfast shall be the last provision of meals on Day 4.

7. Participants shall individually shoulder payment for key, towel and linen

deposit amounting to P200.00. All are likewise requested to bring their own laptop.

8. Immediate dissemination of and compliance to this Memorandum is desired.
