Bihar

Bihar is located in the eastern part of the country. It is

an entirely land – locked state, although the outlet to

the sea through the part of Kolkata is not for away.

The Bihar plain is split by the river Ganges which flows

from west to east

It is also contiguous with Uttar Pradesh to its

West, Nepal to the north, the northern part of West

Bengal to the east

Vision of the State

The Government’s vision is to develop Bihar as follows:

Endeavour for rapid extension and growth of knowledge base

economy in the state

To bridge the digital divide which separates the citizen in urban areas

from those in rural areas by creating a robust infrastructure and

deliver online services to every citizen in the state

To make Bihar an important destination of investment in the

IT/ITES/EHM industries and fuel the development of the state

To make Bihar the frontrunner state in good governance through ICT

(Information and Communication Technology) enablement
