DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING A Three Day Workshop on “Applications of SCILAB in Mechanical Engineering” By APSSDC Mentors, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh During 29 th to 31 st August, 2019 The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College organized a Three Day Workshop for Students and faculty of ME during 29 th -31 st , August 2019 on “Applications of SCILAB in Mechanical Engineering”. The objective of the workshop was to impart hands-on-training on Basic Mathematics Operation, Matrices, Functions, DSP, DIP & XCOS using SCILAB. Students gained knowledge on how to develop solutions to simple real time problems that help the end user for simulation to solve constrained and unconstrained continuous and discrete problems. More emphasis was given to hands-on (using Software) sessions for better understanding of the concepts. A total of 68 students from II, III & IV B.Tech and members of faculty from Mechanical Engineering participated in this workshop. Dr.K.L.Narasimhamu, Professor and Mr.A.Venkatesh, Assistant Professor organized the workshop under the guidance of Dr.K.C.Vara Prasad, Professor and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The resource persons were deputed from APSSDC, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. The feedback from students was taken on participants’ understanding, learning, and resource persons’ knowledge and teaching, and also on organization of the workshop. The feedback found to be extraordinary and encouraging to organize many workshops of this kind. Overall, the event was proved successful.

“Applications of SCILAB in Mechanical Engineering”

By APSSDC Mentors, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh

During 29th to 31st August, 2019

The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College

organized a Three Day Workshop for Students and faculty of ME during 29th-31st, August 2019

on “Applications of SCILAB in Mechanical Engineering”.

The objective of the workshop was to impart hands-on-training on Basic Mathematics

Operation, Matrices, Functions, DSP, DIP & XCOS using SCILAB. Students gained knowledge on

how to develop solutions to simple real time problems that help the end user for simulation to

solve constrained and unconstrained continuous and discrete problems. More emphasis was

A total of 68 students from II, III & IV B.Tech and members of faculty from Mechanical
