It’s my pleasure, to present to you, our fun filled Winter/Spring recreationguide. Inside this guide you will find exciting programs, new and returning,for all ages!

We have a new parent and tot art class and new adult classes in drawingand painting. We are also offering more photography workshops.

Develop Youth self-confidence and agility with our GoJu-Ryu Karate. It isbeing taught by Blackbelt instructors and structured for youth interested inbelt levels. Also new for youth, we’ve added Junior Coed flag football.

Old favourites like Pickleball, March Break camp (March 14 – 18) and our Annual Ester Egg Hunt (March26th) are back by popular demand.

On behalf of Council, I encourage one and all to come out and participate in all we have to offer.

DiscountsFamily:Each family member will receive a discount of 10% off all programs when you are registering three or more persons from thesame immediate family within the same household. Discount does not apply to rentals, memberships, drop-ins or material fees.Families receiving the Pathway to Potential (P2P) may be eligible for affordable fees for children’s programs (age 17 yrs. andunder). For more information please contact Amherstburg Community Financial Assistance Services at (519)736-5471.Your family may be eligible for Canadian Tire Jumpstart funding. Please visit www.canadiantire.ca/jumpstart to fill out your ap-plication.

SeniorsIf you are a senior aged 60 or older, you will receive 10% off all programs. This discount does not apply to rentals, memberships,drop-ins, or materials fees.

Media/Town Photographs: By participating in public events held in conjunction with the Department of Community Services, all participants grant the Townof Amherstburg the right to print, publish, broadcast, and use photographs in any manner deemed appropriate. Patron Photography PolicyBy participating in public events held at the Libro Centre or in conjunction with the Department of Corporate and Community Services, patrons must comply with our Photography Policy. Patrons wishing to use video cameras or otherphotographic devices, including cell phones and personal digital assistants, in any registered or supervised program mustreceive permission from staff before doing so. Camera devices are strictly prohibited in change rooms and washrooms.

Income Tax Receipt: Receipts for income tax, including the Children’s Fitness Tax Credit, are issued at the time of registration. Please retain thesereceipts for your records. We will be issuing official tax receipts upon request for the 2015 year as of February 1, 2016.

Program Cancellations:• Should the minimum number of participants not be achieved 48 hours prior to the start of the program,

it will be cancelled.•Should we cancel your program, your preference of a full refund, credit on account, or enrolment in another available program will be made (of equal value).

•Please allow 3 weeks for processing and mailing of a refund cheque.•Payments made by credit card or debit card will be refunded back to the card.

Withdrawals & Transfers:•Full refunds will only be considered 48 hours prior to the first class.•After the first class, refunds will be prorated from the date of request.•No refunds will be granted after 3 classes have been held. Accounts will be credited with the prorated fee, and the credit can re-main on the account to be put towards another program.•Refunds are subject to an administrative fee of $10.00.•Requests received less than 24 hours before a class will result in that class being considered attended.

All registrations can be made at the Libro Credit Union Centre by Cash, Cheque, Visa, M/C ,or Debit. Payment can be made over the phone for those wishing to pay by credit card.

Energy Busters (8 weeks)DESCRIPTION: New! Parents and caregivers can have a directhand in a preschooler's development through this energetic pro-gram. Energy Busters allows children to come togetherand participate in a wide variety of activities loosely based onyour favourite sports and games to foster healthy gross motordevelopment. Activities range from stretches, active games andobstacle courses.

Little Sluggers (8 weeks)DESCRIPTION: A great opportunity to introduce your child to the joy and fun of t-ball! This program focuses on the FUN-damentals of t-ball. Staff will instruct skills such as throwing, catching, fielding, and hitting. All participants are asked tobring a baseball glove. Program will be held indoors only.

Mini Kicks Soccer (8 weeks)DESCRIPTION: Join us on the soccer field in our pre-school soccer program. This program introduces soccer to your littlesprouting athlete, as we learn how to dribble, pass, score, as well as other skills through fun drills. Short scrimmages mayalso be played each week! Parents are welcome to participate alongside their 3-year-old children. (Shin pads and runningshoes are required for program).

Sports Jam (8 weeks)DESCRIPTION: Can't get enough of gym class? Then this jam packed class is a perfect fit. Each class will focus on those sports& games you just cant get enough of. Activities include basketball, soccer, dodge ball, floor hockey, ultimate Frisbee and somuch more!

Participants are required to wear shin pads, as well as running shoes or soccer cleats (non-metal only). Classesare held in our indoor turf. There is no class on Feb 26, 2016

Goju-Ryu Youth Karate (10 weeks)DESCRIPTION: Since 1985, Goju Ryu Karate (GKK) has helped children develop self confidence plus improve agility and reflexes through positive reinforcement! GKK Canada supplied Blackbelt instructors are all members of the Ontario Provincial and the Canadian Sport governing bodies, trained and certified in First Aid, CPR and certified through CoachingCanada in NCCP Karate Coaching methodology. Introducing a strong foundation of discipline, dignity and respect thattranslates into all parts of your life. Dedicated to training towards excellence physically, mentally and spiritually. This classis structured for youth interested in belt levels.

Junior Co-ed Flag Football (10 weeks)DESCRIPTION: Flag football is a modified version of tackle football which provides participants with the opportunity to de-velop many of the same skills, tactics and strategies without physical contact. It is an emerging game that provides a fast,fun, active and safe environment for players to develop their running, passing and catching abilities in an environment ofteamwork and fair play.

Learn fun movement combinations and build your skills while dancing to your favouritemusic. The program will conclude with a mini recital.

Youth Home AloneDESCRIPTION: This program prepares our youth for the important step of Home Alone Safety. Being home alone can be anuncomfortable and unsafe situation when our children are unprepared. Safety, first aid, and emergency-handling skills arecovered in this course through interactive games, role-playing, stories, and other activities. Each participant will receive amanual to bring home (included) and completion certificate. Let's work to keep our youth safe and confident. (Age 8+)

Your child will learn flavourful cooking through the use of new easy recipes, specific tools, and techniques each week.Each junior chef will receive a collection of their recipes to share with family and friends. Don't forget to bring a container

to each class to bring home some of your cooking!

Young Adult ProgramsYouth Learn to BabysitDESCRIPTION: The Babysitting Course is specifically designed to allow participants to learn valuable skills through animated dis-cussions, role play, and other relevant activities. This course includes accident prevention, basic first aid, dealing with emergenciesand real-life scenarios. Future babysitters learn safety and safe play, basic care, leadership, and professionalism. A culminating writ-ten test is a requirement to pass this course and receive a certificate. Course fee includes babysitting manual. (Age 11+)
