2)UofTIntramurals:OurUTMEaglesIntramuralteamscompeteagainstotherCollegesandFacultiesacrosstheUniversity.PlayerswilltraveltoScarboroughandSt.Georgecampusesforleaguegames.Travelispartofaplayer’sintramuralteamcommitment.Mostteamswillhaveonegameandonepracticeperweek.
3)DevelopmentLeague(D-League):TheDevelopmentLeague(D-League)offersathletesaheightenedlevelofsportcompetition.Athleteshavetheopportunitytotaketheirgametothenextlevelbylearningfromcommittedcoachingstaff.TeamscompeteagainstoneUTSCteamandtwoUTSGteams.Athletesmustattendtryouts&previousplayingexperienceisrequired.Mostteamswillhaveonegameandonepracticeperweek.
4)Extramurals:TheExtramuralProgramisanextensionoftheCampusRec,UofTIntramuralandD-LeagueprogramsthatinvolvesUTM'snon-varsityathletescompetingagainstOntarioCollegeintramuralteamsinvarioustournamentsandevents.Tournamentstakeplacebothon&offcampus.
5)Varsity:TheUTMVarsityEaglesisaproudmemberoftheOntarioCollegesAthleticAssociation(OCAA).TheVarsityprogramisthehighestlevelofsportingcompetitionatUTM,playingmultiplehome&awaygamesthroughouttheacademicyear,alongwithmultiplepracticeandstrengthtrainingsessionseachweek.

ADDITIONALTERMS&DEFINITIONS:OpenvsCoedLeagues-Coedsportshaverulessurroundinghowmanyself-identifyingmales&femalesneedtobein-playatonetime.Openleagueshavenogenderrestrictions.PerformanceBonds-ThesebondsaresetamountstobepaidpriortoateambeingadmittedintoaCampusRec League. After the Team Entry Meeting has occurred, the Team’s Performance Bond is due atMembershipServicesby12pmthedayafter theEntryMeeting.Bondsare returnedat theendof season,providedateamhasnotdefaultedorincurredteamfinesduetopenalties/ejectionsasperthesportspecificrules. Ifatany timeduring the regular season,a team’sPerformanceBond isdepleteddue to teamfines,theymustre-paytheirbondortheywillberemovedfromtheleague.Default- Failure by a team to field the requiredminimum amount of players to start a game within theallocatedgame/default timeof15minutes. Inaddition, teamsthathave2ormoreplayersejected in thesamegamewill losebydefault.Defaultingthefirstgameoftheseasonwillresult ina lossofperformancebondandremovalfromthe league.Aswell,playingwithan ineligibleplayerwillcauseateamto losethatgamebydefault.Teamsthatdefault1gamewilllose50%oftheirPerformanceBond.Teamsthatdefaulta2ndgamewilllosetheremainderoftheBondandwillberemovedfromtheleague.Forfeit-TeamsthatadvisetheProgramCoordinator/LeagueCommissioner48hours inadvanceofagamewillhavetheirgamerecordedasaforfeit loss.Forfeitsareweightedthesameasdefaultsinthestandings,butdonotcarrythedefaultfine.Teamswith2forfeitsoracombinationof1forfeitand1defaultwillstillberemovedfromtheleagueortournamentandwilllosetheirperformancebond.PlayerFines/TeamFines-EachCampusRecsporthassetplayerandteamfinesforvariousinfractionssuchas,butnot limitedto: redcards,majorpenalties, technical fouls,accumulatedpenaltyminutesetc.Pleasecheck thesport specific rules formoredetails.Teamfineswillbededucted fromtheTeam’sPerformanceBondattheendoftheseason.Playerfineswillbeplacedontheteamcaptain'sbondandmustbepaidattheMembershipServicescounterpriortobeingreinstated.CampusRecReviewBoard-Set-upforeachCampusRecSporttodealwith:rulesandregulationsforeachsport,playerandteammajorejectionsandsubsequentdiscipline,aswellasallgameprotestsbyteams.Team Entry Meeting- Each Campus Rec Sport League and most Tournament sports have a Team EntryMeeting.Thoseenteringateammustsendarepresentativetoattend,accompaniedwithacompletedTeamEntryForm.Aballotsystemwillbeusediftherearemoreteamsthanspotsavailable.Entrymeetingdatesarepostedtoourwebsite.TeamEntryForm-ThisformmustbesubmittedattheTeamEntryMeetingforeachCampusRecIntramuralLeagueorTournamentTeamSport.TheformisthentakentoMembershipServiceswherethePerformanceBondispaid. Play-offQualifier-Thesearegamesusuallyplayedinacombineddivisionleaguewhereteamsplayagametoseewhoqualifies forplay-offs. Play-offQualifier gameswill count as regular seasongames for calculatingpoints,goals,assistsandgamesplayedbyaplayer.PlayerRegistrationForm- This form isdueat the team’s first gameandacts as the team’sofficial roster.

PlayersmustreadtheInformedConsentonthebackoftheform&signthewaiver.Player’saddedafterthefirstgamemustsigntheirteam’sPlayerRegistrationformpriortoparticipating.PlayerTransfer-Thisistheprocessofaddingaplayertoateamrosterwhohaspreviouslyplayedforanotherteamintheleagueinthesamesemester.Playertransfersmayonlyoccuruptoandincludingthemid-pointof the regular season. There must be enough regular season games left in the league schedule for theplayer’snewteamtomakethemeligibleforplay-offs.Onlythegamesplayedforthenewteamwillbeusedtocalculateplay-offeligibility.Totransferteams,aPlayerTransferFormmustbesubmittedtotheProgramOffice 48 hours prior to the new team’s next scheduled game. Forms need to be signed by all 3 parties:captainoftheoldteam,captainofthenewteam,andthetransferringplayer.PlayerswillbenotifiedbytheProgramCoordinatorortheLeagueCommissionerifthetransferisapproved.Teamsmayonlytakeononetransferredplayerpersemester.Playerstransferringillegallywillreceiveanautomaticonegamesuspension& teams caught using illegally transferred players will lose all games by default in which the playerparticipated.GameSheet–Theofficialgamesheetforeachcampusrecgamemustonlycontainplayersthataredressedandreadytocompete.Theteamcaptainissolelyresponsibleforensuringstudentnumbersandfullnames(as they appear on T-Card) are on the game sheet. Players can be added up until the end of the game,provided that they participate in a portion of that game. No additions will be made after the game iscompleted.Playerattendanceongamesheets isusedforplayoffeligibility.TeamCaptainsareresponsibleforsigningthegamesheetattheendofeachgame,indicatingtherecordedscoreandplayerattendancearecorrect.FreeAgents-TheseareindividualswhoarelookingtoplayonCampusRecTeams.Freeagentsshouldsign-upontheFreeAgentlistswiththeProgramOfficeandattendtheTeamEntryMeetingtomeetTeamRepsandsee if they can get onto a team. If there are enough Free Agents and space available in theLeague/Tournament,aFreeAgentteamwillbeenteredasaunit.CombinedDivisions-Whentherearenotenoughteamstomakeadivision1anddivision2 league, teamswill compete in a combined division league. In these situations, an effort will bemade to hold separateDivision1andDivision2playoffs.Combinedleaguesmusthaveaminimumof8ormoreteams;inordertohaveseparateDivision1andDivision2playoffcompetition.

FAIRPLAYisforEVERYONE!
UTMCampusRecparticipants(players,spectators,officialsetc.)mayfacesuspensionfromtheReviewBoardforFairPlayCodeinfractionsthatoccurpriorto,duringorimmediatelyfollowingaCampusRecgame.FairPlayCodeinfractionsthatoccurinourfacilitywillbereviewedbytheProgramCoordinator.NOTE:Fighting,roughplay,and/orverbalabuseofanykindwillnotbetolerated!Theminimumpenaltyforfighting is expulsion from competition for one calendar year, followed by probation for one additionalcalendaryear.Thisappliestoallplayers,coaches,officialsandspectators.Refereesareinstructedtoreportallinfractionsofthisnatureonthegamesheet.ThesecaseswillbereferredtotheReviewBoard.
Section C - ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES
Students:TobeeligibleforUTMCampusRecIntramuralparticipation,apersonmustmeetthefollowingcriteria:
• beafullorpart-timestudentregisteredatUniversityofTorontoMississaugaandthereforeamemberoftheUTMDPE(St.GeorgeandUTSCregisteredstudentsareineligible)
• beagraduatestudentregisteredattheSchoolofGraduateStudiesandworkingtowardscompletingaprogramattheUniversityofTorontoMississauga.
• beregisteredontheofficialteam'sregistrationformpriortoparticipation.• bephysicallyactive.ItisrecommendedthatallstudentswishingtoparticipateintheUTMCampus
RecIntramuralProgramhaveamedicalexaminationpriortoparticipation.• havereadtheInformedConsentAgreementonthebackofthePlayerRegistrationFormandhave
officiallysignedthatform.Staff:Full-timeappointedStaffandFacultyoftheUniversityofTorontoMississaugaareeligibletoparticipateintheCampusRecIntramuralProgram,iftheyelecttopaytheUTMDPEmembershipfees.Alumni:UTMalumniareeligibletoparticipateinalloftheUTMDPECampusRecIntramuralProgramsiftheyelecttopaytheUTMDPEalumnimembershipfees.Forthedurationoftheleagueorseason;onlytwoalumniareallowedperCampusRecIntramuralteam.RAWCCommunityMembers:DuringONLYthesummerschooltermcanDPEcommunitymembersparticipateintheUTMCampusRecIntramuralProgram.

• Fortournamentsports,1tournamentistheequivalentto1leaguegame.However,ifthesamepersonparticipatesinthreeUofTIntramuralorUofT/UTMVarsityleaguegames,heorshehasnowattainedstatusasaUofTIntramuralorUofTVarsityplayer
• IftheirnewlyattainedIntramuralorVarsitystatuscauseshisorherCampusRecteamtoexceedtheallowableestablishedIntramuralpointlimit,thentheteamoftheplayerinquestionmustmakeadjustmentstotheirteamtobewithintheallowableCampusRecpointlimitpriortothatplayerplayinginanotherCampusRecgame.Undercertainspecificguidelines,aplayermaythentransfertoanotherteam

1. Teamswilllose50%oftheirPerformanceBondafter1defaultand100%after2defaults.Teamsnotdefaultingduringleagueplay,whichincludesboththeregularseasonandtheplay-offs,willreceivetheirfullPerformanceBondrefundattheconclusionoftheleague.
2. Teams defaulting TWO season gameswill be removed from the league. Repeated defaults by thesameindividualsorteamsinmorethanoneCampusRecactivitymaybetopossibleexpulsionfromallCampusRecactivities.
3. TeamsthatadvisetheProgramCoordinator/LeagueCommissioner48hoursinadvanceofagamewillhavetheirgamerecordedasaforfeitloss.Forfeitsareweightedthesameasdefaultsinthestandings,butdonotcarrythedefaultfine.Teamswith2forfeitsoracombinationof1forfeitand1defaultwillstillberemovedfromtheleagueandwilllosetheirperformancebond. 4. Teamsdefaulting/forfeitingingameoneortwoofatwogametotalpointplay-offseries,willberemovedfromtheplay-offs.Adefault/forfeitinabest2of3play-offseriesshallcountasaloss.Iftwoplay-offgamesaredefaulted/forfeitedduringtheplay-offsitwillresultintheexpulsionofthatteamfromtheplay-offs.
5. Duringtheregularseason,ateamthathasdefaultedoutoftheleaguecanrepaytheirPerformanceBondandreturntotheleague,providedthatnootherteamisonthewaitinglist.Defaultedteamsre-enteringtheleaguemaintainthesamerecordwiththe2defaultloss.Teamsonthewaitinglistthatenterinplaceofthedefaultedteamwillhavetheirstandingscalculatedbasedonwinning%ofthegamestheyhaveplayed.
Section H- PLAYOFF REGULATIONS
PLAYOFFELIGIBILITY TeamCaptains/Repsareresponsibleforverifyingtheirplayers’eligibilityforplayoffs.TheProgramOfficekeepsdocumentsofplayerattendancethroughouttheseasonandcasesofineligibilitywillbehandledaccordingtotheleaguerules.LeagueCommissionerswillpostPlayoffEligibilitylistspriortothestartoftheplay-offs.IfthereisaGameProtestinregardstotheineligibilityofaplayer,itmustbemadeonthebackof

2. Aplayerwho,throughinjury,doesnotqualifyunder(1)mayonwrittenapplicationbemadeeligiblethrougharulingoftheReviewBoardforthatparticularsport.AcceptablemedicalproofofinjuryprovidedbytheUniversityHealthServiceorattendingphysicianmustbepresented.
3. Ateamthatdoesnothaveenoughplayoffeligibleplayerstofieldateamfortheplayoffsshallberemovedpriortothecommencementoftheplayoffs.Theleaguestandingsshallberecalculatedexcludingallteamsthatfallintothiscategory,enablingteamswiththerequiredeligibleparticipantstoadvancetoplayoffs.
