Large Diameter Drilling Profile Since the acquisition of an Italian built Soilmec G55 into our fleet in 2005 Depco Drilling has become the frontrunner for installing large diameter service and ventilation holes in the Bowen Basin area.  With capabilities of drilling holes with a diameter up to 1.2 meters, the Soilmec has been in high demand since its arrival.               

Depco’s experience in large diameter drilling has been mostly concentrated to the Emerald area, giving long term driller Owen Hill, extensive knowledge of the local conditions.   Our equipment and tooling capabilities along with drilling methods and connections with local suppliers (concrete and steel suppliers etc.) enables Depco to submit the best possible price when tendering.  Depco’s portfolio includes working with companies such as BMA, Xstrata, Rio Tinto, and Australian Shaft Drilling for over 7 years and more recently completing programs for Bechtel and Ausenco.  Having worked alongside companies of this calibre for nearly a Decade, Depco has earned a reputation for our safe, high quality work which can be achieved ahead of schedule for the most cost effective results.
