History of DICP

• DepEd Order (DO) No. 50 s. 2009– Supports and complement the DepEd Computerization

Program– requires all energized public secondary schools to directly

subscribe to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in their locality• Downloading of funds to schools (DO No. 46, s. 2011)

– Php48,000/year (Php4,000/month)– Schools connected by satellite can receive maximum of

Php96,000 for one time payment for installation and internet service fees
