What are depth studies?
• A depth study is any type of inves?ga?on/ac?vity that a student completes individually or collabora?vely that allows the further development of one or more concepts found within or inspired by the syllabus
![Page 4: Depth&Studies& - University of Sydney · • Depth&studies&promote&differen?aon&and& engagement,&and&supportall&forms&of& assessment,&including&assessmentfor,&as&and& of&learning&](https://reader033.vdocument.in/reader033/viewer/2022041701/5e419dd5f6e5bd7c91024ce5/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
• It may be one inves?ga?on/ac?vity or a series of inves?ga?ons/ac?vi?es.

How do you program the depth studies?
• With crea?vity and imagina?on, ensuring that the class has the correct differen?a?on occurring and that the students have a say in what they are learning in depth either as individuals or in a team collabora?ng.
• The philosophy is that the students chose their own adventure yet are s?ll guided by achieving the stated outcomes of the course.
