Accountable for 13 direct reports on all 3 shifts of production across processing and packaging. Northeast Building Products, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Six Sigma Green Belt 5/14 – 10/15 Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering for a 400 person high-efficiency window and door manufacturer, I was the only CI resource in the company and led all Continuous Improvement programs/initiatives across 4 existing facilities from strategy to execution in addition to developing plans for a new 5 th facility that’s under construction. Led the Six Sigma Green Belt project team to increase first-pass yield by 6% which will deliver over $200,000 in annualized savings. Implementing additional project recommendations led to an additional 12% increase in average daily throughput. Developed, implemented, and sustained multiple pull systems across 4 production lines which eliminated 100% of production losses due to raw material shortages Heavily involved for the start-up of a new production facility. This includes leading the designing, sourcing, and testing of all custom parts, developing and implementing of Standard Operating Procedures, and designing the layout of work cells including 5S implementation Leading teams of 9 operators to rework over 800 windows for a multi- million dollar contract ensuring high product quality and strong customer service Actively coach employees on DuPont STOP principles (behavior-based safety) to reduce injuries and improve safety culture Flagstone Foods, Production Supervisor 11/13-1/14 Supervised 50 to 60 employees providing exceptional packaging for our private label consumers (Wal-Mart, Target, Aldi, Whole Foods, Anne’s House of Nuts, etc.)
