1. Introduction

Further to the recent update of our IT system, it is now possible to send the FEI the results in a new exel file allowing

us to import directly in XML format. This procedure will hopefully simplify and speed up procedures for the OC, NF

and FEI and will furthermore allow the results to be processed more efficiently to the benefit of all involved.

Please find below the description, information and explanations of the result files required in order to correctly and

swiftly upload them into the FEI Family database.

An example of a results file is attached to the end of this document.

2. Detail of <ns1 :Indiv>

The Individual tab of the exel file contains a set of elements in regard to the combination (Athlete/Horse) such as IDs and Names as well as their results. The number of fields to be entered is depending on the competition type. The following information is mandatory for all CIC’s and CCI’s of all levels:

Rank of the combination: 1,2,3,… Classification to be made according to Art 502 of the Eventing Rules. No rank is to be mentioned for riders that are eliminated, retired, withdrawn or disqualified.

Status. If the rider is eliminated, retired or withdrawn please indicate one of the 4 abbreviations:

EL: eliminated

RET: retired

WD: withdrawn DSQ: disqualified (FEI only)

No other code accepted.

Status complement. When ns1:PosStatus=dsq then ns1.:PosStatusComplement must contain one of the following values:

Status Comment. Case Number for disqualified combinations (FEI legal department only)

ns1:CompetitorFEIID

The FEI ID of the rider. The rider MUST be listed in the FEI database and MUST be registered for the current year. The FEI ID must be entered without any space.

ns1:CompetitorFirstname

The First Name of the Rider. The system will compare the first name with the one in the system.



ns1:CompetitorFamilyname

The Family Name of the Rider. The system will compare the family name with the one in the system.

ns1:CompetingFor

IOC Code - Sport Nationality of the rider. Use the 3 letters of the Olympic Committee (OC) abbreviations as described in Annex I

ns1:HorseFEIID

The FEI ID of the horse. The horse MUST be listed in the FEI database and MUST be registered for the current year. The FEI ID must be entered without any space.

ns1:HorseCompleteName

The horse complete name. The system will compare the name with the one in the system.

ns1:Prize

The prize won. Number without currency, symbols or spaces

ns1:PrizeCurrency

The prize currency only abbreviated currencies allowed. No other code or symbol accepted.

ns1:IsWNominated

For FEI use only- please leave this element empty

ns1:Position2 (OG only)

Rank 1,2,3,… following the second jumping round at Olympic games. (For Olympic Games Only)

ns1:PositionStatus2 (Olympic Games only)

Status following second jumping round. If the rider is eliminated, retired or withdrawn indicate one of the 4 abbreviations:

RET: retired

WD: withdrawn

DSQ: disqualified (*2) No other code accepted.

Status complement. When ns1:PosStatus2=dsq then ns1.:PosStatusComplement must contain one of the following values:

Dressage score in penalty points must be mentioned according to Art 526 of the Eventing rules.

Only positive values with decimal points are accepted, no other code accepted.

Cross Country obstacle penalties are to be mentioned according to Art.532 of the Eventing rules.


ns1:CCTimePenaltyD

Cross country time penalties are to be mentioned according to Art. 532 and 532.2 of the Eventing rules.


ns1:JumpingObstaclePenalty

Jumping obstacle penalties are to be mentioned according to Art 538 of the Eventing rules.


ns1:JumpingTimePenalty

Jumping time penalties are to be mentioned according to Art 538.2 of the Eventing rules.


ns1:TotalPenalty

Total Penalties ; addition of dressage penalties, time and obstacle penalties from cross country and jumping.


ns1:TeamNF

The IOC Code of the Team. Please leave this field empty for riders that compete only for individual ranking. A IOC Code (Annex I) must be entered if the combination is competing in a team (must match with the team NF field in the results page/tab for teams).



3. Detail of <ns1 :Team>

ns1:Position

Rank of the team. No rank for the teams who are eliminated, retired or withdrawn.

ns1:PosStatus

Status. If the team is eliminated, retired or withdrawn. Write down one of the 3 abbreviations:

EL: eliminated

RET: retired

WD: withdrawn No other code accepted"

ns1:NF

The Nationality of the team. Use the 3 letters of the Olympic Committee abbreviations as described in Annex II. If the teams riders has more than one nationality, choose one of them.

ns1:TeamName

The name of the team. The nationality abbreviations or Team names if there are several teams from the same country.

ns1:Prize

The prize won. Number without currency

ns1:PrizeCurrency

The prize currency. Use of one the abbreviated currency code as described in Annex I

ns1:TotalPoints

The total penalties obtained by addition of the three highest placed athletes in the team as per Art. 502.3 of the

Eventing rules.

A rider who fails to compete as team member will be awarded 1000 penalty points.
