Description of Garment: Suede Jacket Manufacturer: Wilson Leathers RN#: 69426 Care Label Instructions: Special Leather Clean Only Problem: This jacket contained a distressed or antique finish. When this jacket was drycleaned in hydrocarbon solvent, the finish dissolved. Unfortunately, this is a factory-applied effect that cannot be duplicated in the refinishing process. Responsibility: The manufacturer. Due to the soluble nature of the finish, this jacket cannot be successfully processed in hydrocarbon or perchloroethylene. We have no data as to the serviceability of this jacket in alternative solvents. Drycleaner: Advise the customer that this jacket may fail when processed in accordance with the care label instructions. A signed consent for processing or release of liability must be obtained prior to acceptance. Recommendation: We have received a variety of antique, distressed, or “wet look” suede and leather garments manufactured by Wilson Leathers that have proven to be unserviceable. If any of these garments fail when processed according to the care label instructions, they should be returned to the place of purchase for a refund or exchange. © Any reproduction or re-printing of this material is prohibited without the prior written consent of The National Cleaners Association

Clean Only Problem: This jacket contained a distressed or antique finish.

When this jacket was drycleaned in hydrocarbon solvent, the finish dissolved. Unfortunately, this is a factory-applied effect that cannot be duplicated in the refinishing process.

Responsibility: The manufacturer. Due to the soluble nature of the

finish, this jacket cannot be successfully processed in hydrocarbon or perchloroethylene. We have no data as to the serviceability of this jacket in alternative solvents.

Drycleaner: Advise the customer that this jacket may fail when

processed in accordance with the care label instructions. A signed consent for processing or release of liability must be obtained prior to acceptance.

Recommendation: We have received a variety of antique, distressed, or

“wet look” suede and leather garments manufactured by Wilson Leathers that have proven to be unserviceable. If any of these garments fail when processed according to the care label instructions, they should be returned to the place of purchase for a refund or exchange.
