Proportion - Distortion
• In this image, the sunhas been minimized byit’s distance from thefigure, this is alsoaccentuated by the handplacement of the person, making it look like theyare holding the sun inhis/her hands. http://www.insteadof.com/photogallery/Other/Family/p4.htm
Proportion - create symbolicmeaning
• In this top sculpture, symbolicsignificance is emphasized by theminimized earth on the back of“Hercules” - giving a meaning ofhim ‘carrying the world on hisshoulders’. The sculpture below isone of the “Venus of Willendorf”fertility symbols - her accentuatedbreasts and stomach areaemphasize the notion of femalefertility.
