    CLL121: List of design projects for DPE units

    Max 2 students for DP2-DP4

    Max 1 student for DP1, DP5-7

    DP1: Refrigeration Cycle Thermodynamics [Theory + Coding]

    DP2: Develop a web-based applet for determination of entropy of silicate melts at high T & P.

    DP3: Thermodynamic property prediction of gas hydrates (code to solve simultaneous integro-algebraic equations)

    DP4: Micelle formation thermodynamics (size and shape dependence on chemistry, viz. surfactanthead group type, tail size, solvent interactions) [Theory]

    DP5-DP7 : Development of codes for text book solved examples and/or exercise problems.

    DP5: Rate of entropy generation and work calculation in flow processes based on 2 nd law ofthermodynamics (solve problems of type given in solved examples 5.5, 5.7, 5.8, 5.9, etc.)

    DP6: Calculation of enthalpy and entropy for real gases using experimental PVT data or equation ofstates or generalized property correlations (solve problems of type given in solved examples 6.3, 6.4,6.8, table 6.3, etc.)

    DP7: Determination of unknown pressure, temperature and/or composition in two phase binarymixtures (solve problems of type given in solved examples 10.2, 10.3, 10.4, 10.5).
