Creating an RSS Feed Widget
Rolling News and Information: Collecting news and information of relevance from the web is possible
through the use of RSS feeds. There is a widget that enables you to subscribe to more than one RSS feed, and view all the posts in one space. This guide shows you how to set up an RSS Feed widget, ready to insert into your MyLO Unit content.
Paste the URL of your chosen RSS feed into an ‘Add Feeds’ box.
Paste the URL of your next chosen RSS feed into the other ‘Add Feeds’ box.
To include more than two feeds, click the ‘+ Add more feeds’ link.
In an Internet Browser:
Type in the url: http://www.surfing-waves.com/feed.htm
Type 600 in the ‘Width’ box.
Type 500 in the ‘Height’ box.
Click the ‘advanced settings’ link.
This size displays well in a MyLO Content file.
Set ‘Auto scroll’ to off.
Set ‘Widget with scroll bar’ to on.
Select an example style.
As you select different styles, the preview will update to show you what each one is.
