Sakura Season
• The cherry blossom season starts from February and stays till May
• Spring is by far the most popular time for tourism in Japan - both domestic and international. The atmosphere at this time of year is joyous and heart warming.
• It is during this period that the Japanese are at their most relaxed mind, and all public places take on a party-like atmosphere.
• Hanami or flower viewing can be conducted in the daytime sun or in the evening. Both are lovely, but we particularly enjoy the blossoms at dusk when lanterns hang in the trees.

The Alpine Route• Tateyama Snow CorridorFrom April to May, the road from Bijodaira to Murodo runs between up to 20 meter high snow walls. The snow corridor is most spectacular around Murodo, where an approximately one kilometer passage is open to pedestrians from around
mid April to mid June.• MurodoMurodo offers fantastic views of the Tateyama Mountain Range. In summer and autumn, hiking trails lead to the surrounding peaks and to the nearby Jigokudani "Hell Valley". Volcanic activity can be observed at the valley, although the trails in the area can get closed due to high concentrations of volcanic gases.
• Tateyama Trolley BusElectric powered buses transport travelers through the tunnel between Murodo and Daikanbo.
• Kurobe CablecarThis cablecar runs entirely inside a tunnel, which is a rarity among cablecars.
