EPHEC in brief

EPHEC stands for “Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes Commerciales” (EPHEC University College)

EPHEC’s main campus is based in Brussels, a cosmopolitan city in the heart of Europe

EPHEC is situated on 3 different university campuses, 2 in Brussels (Woluwé, Schaerbeek) and 1 in Louvain-La-Neuve (30 km south)

EPHEC offers a multicultural environment : regular EPHEC students represent more than 50 different nationalities

The pedagogical approach at EPHEC

A practical approach and a close link with companies:

Practical assignments (sometimes commissioned by companies)

Permanent teaching staff often with previous business experience

Associate lecturers from the business world

Most students do 2 work placement periods:

3 weeks between Year 1 and Year 2

14 weeks in Semester 6 (in Belgium or abroad)

A “department”=a BA degree programme on a campus

Between 200 and 500 students in a department

A common team: one Head of department, one secretary, one student coordinator, full-time and part-time lecturers

Teaching in classes of 20 to 50 students

If your knowledge of French needs improving ...

you can also study IN ENGLISH :

You can get classes of French as a foreign language

You can attend special modules aimed at guest students, e.g.

“Brussels and Belgium at the heart of Europe” “Intercultural Business Communication in the EU”

You can join classes taught in English - mostly in the

fall semester (see our list of modules in English)

You can find a work placement (18 ECTS) in Brussels in English or French (preferably spring semester) thanks to our database of companies (application procedures upon request)

You can work on an extended project under the supervision of one of our specialised lecturers (conditions to be agreed upon)
