OTHER PROGRAMMES

FIRST+ FIRST+ network (Finnish-Russian Student Exchange) involves exchanges to Russia.

Institutions for AY 2018-19 will be updated here in January. Application period is in January.

ISEP EXCHANGE ISEP exchange to the USA and International-to-International ISEP exchanges to other countries all

around the world. Total amount of institutions participating is about 300, out of which about 100

are in the US. University of Oulu students first apply in October to the ISEP program, selected

students then submit their ISEP application in which you need to list 5-10 possible institutions. ISEP

then places student in one of the institutions listed. Please note that acceptance to some

institutions is more competitive than others, the information on this for each institution can be

found on ISEP website.

ISEP is open to Bachelor and Master’s level students. Studies in Clinical Medicine are not possible

through ISEP. Selected students pay room and board fees to the University of Oulu (3100eur per

term during 2017-18). ISEP exchanges are all for one term.

north2north (education.uarctic.org/mobility/about-north2north/) University of Oulu participates in the University of the Arctic’s north2north programme, which offers

exchanges to Canada and USA. There are also destinations in Sweden, Norway and Russia, but these

exchanges are to be applied through Erasmus, Nordplus or FIRST programmes.

north2north exchanges are primarily meant to students whose studies and interests focus in northern

or aboriginal issues.
