Development Location
MODELS CREATED
•Forecasts travel patterns on a daily basis for a specified region.
MACRO
•Forecasts travel patterns on a peak hour basis for a more specialized region.
MICRO
MACRO TRAVEL DEMAND MODEL
•Determines the number of trips produced or attracted to each TAZ
Trip Generation
•Origins and Destinations are paired using a gravity model.
Trip Distribution
•Trips proportioned onto all available modes of transportation.
Mode Choice
•Allocates trips between O/D pairs to particular routes based on travel costs.

DESTINY TRAVEL DEMAND MODEL
•Origin / Destination tables for conventional autos.
Conventional Auto
•Origin / Destination tables for trucks and other large goods vehicles.Trucks
•Origin / Destination tables for NEVs. Considered an alternative mode of transportation expected to account for a large portions of traffic throughout the Project.
Neighborhood Electric Vehicles
•Expected transit vehicles required along a given route in the network.

DESTINY MICRO MODEL
• Construction of the Destiny model is in the very preliminary stages, and is evolving on nearly a daily basis. Future goals include:
• Determining optimum location of signalized intersections. 100+ signals anticipated.
• Investigate all transportation systems that conserve energy, have little environmental impacts, and provide congestion relief for potential implementation into the project.
DESTINY MICRO MODEL
Summary• Paramics is being used as a
planning tool for design of Destiny due in part from the success of the Paramics model for Miami, Florida (140 signalized intersections).
